Rust used 5,1GB of ram after playing quite of long time and FPS was terrible, possible memory leak?
FPS after playing multiple hours: Under 30
After restarting the client: about 40-60
Other stuff:
- You can build on barricades. (Like place foundation to the barricade and then it's inside of the foundation)
- Sheet metal parts still have 200 health (which is weaker compared to stone, even if it got more protection)
- You can still try to ignite the eoka pistol even if it's empty. (Does the ignite animation instead of empty animation)
- Regular bandages heals instantly (5hp) instead of regeneration after applied. (Or intented?)
- Large Medkit is still instant use. (Does not use the bandaging animation, or is this still work in progress?)
- Chicken sounds are loud, and they sound like they're right next to me all the time.
- There should be ability to remove sleeping bag without breaking it or adding confirmation to 'Give to friend' for sleeping bags.
~ Suggestion for this, when you die you'll get message to the Left side of the screen where it shows the available sleeping bags, "Player X has given you a sleeping bag" (Or something like that), then you can accept or decline it.
- We should be able to scroll the sleeping bag list. (If I recall correctly it was mentioned on changes that you should be able do this, but it've never worked for me.)
- Sometimes Airdrops seem to aim for the floating ice (But the drop goes through of the ice, so it gets underwater).
- Bandage is not default blueprint and will drop from barrels. (Intented or not?)
- if you are crafting a lot of items and close Rust and open it up again you will still continue crafting but there isn't anything queued in the inventory.
- accessing a steam profile (steam overlay) through the chat will lead to the profile opening again each time you jump or open the chat even after you closed the profile/chat after looking at it for the first time.
- pillars aren't replaceable nor upgradable once you place building blocks on the adjacent tiles. They definitely need to be rethought. Maybe they should only add to stability if there aren't any walls supporting a floor in the first place.
- a broken stone spear needs a wooden spear for repairing and can even be repaired if the wooden spear is broken itself.
- I know that the following won't be sufficient enough to pin down the cause of it but I just got it by something invisible with a metal hatchet for about 30 seconds (sound and blood visuals). I don't recall getting hit by a metal hatchet at an earlier point but I had one on my while it happened.

That shadow though..... It's a me mario!
There's been 2 small patches I've downloaded since main update this week. I play Rust at 1600 x 900 on max setting usually. Since the last major update 80% of the time the game freezes up and even locks up my PC during loading terrain. The few times i have gotten into a game the game runs at like 3 fps and ends up just disconnecting or crashing when i get near a fire or any other affect (like getting attacked by animals) Was hoping that one of these last two small patches was going to fix this...but they haven't. I've tried dropping my settings to the lowest possible...but that has no noticeable affect either. I assume the console's getting the shit spammed out of it or there's a MAJOR memory leak somewhere, any ETA on a fix for this?

Hi I'd just like to say that I think the tools and weapons break to quickly and was wanting to know if they are going to be made to last a bit longer
I ran into kind of an interesting bug that took quite a while to figure out. And by "figure out", I do not mean that I've solved it. lol. Only that I [eventually] figured out what was causing it, how to recreate it and how to work around it.
Yesterday, I had logged off inside of a house that another player and I had built. Today, I was able to log on to other servers, but not the one we have been playing on. I would get as far as "LOADING DATA" where it would either hang or crash. We checked our client versions...no. I ran checks on my hard drive and permissions...no. I verified file integrity of the game...no. I completely deleted and reinstalled the game...no. I made sure absolutely nothing else was running on my machine and tried the lowest resolution and quality...no and no.
So, in desperation, I turned to the Googles. I found one person who had run into an issue where the game would crash if they tried to connect to the server after they had gone to sleep IN THEIR HOUSE. However, if they were killed and freshly spawned elsewhere, they did not have the problem.
So I had my mate find my sleeping body and kill me. lol
It worked. I was able to log onto the server and woke up on the beach. I walked into the ocean and drowned myself and attempted to wake up in my sleeping bag at the house.
Crash.
My body did appear at the sleeping bag, so I had my mate kill me again and destroy the sleeping bag. He made a new one on a rock within sight of the house, but not in it or close by. I was able to wake up in that sleeping bag. However, as I walked towards the house, I would reach some specific proximity and the game would freeze.
I'm calling this the "Haunted House" bug. lol.
So, for the time being, my character cannot spawn in, or go near, that structure. I can, however, spawn in either of two other structures we built. So there is something unique about this particular building that hates me.
NOTE: One other interesting thing is happening. My partner said that one of our furnaces has been going since yesterday. However, it is not processing material or using up wood. I have no idea if this is related or not. But coincidences are often...not.
Fortunately, I had another player sharing the building with me who was able to look for my body and kill me. If I had been inside a house alone, I would not have been able to do anything and would simply not be able to log on to that particular server.
Can't cancel first item in craft queue.
hay i know that the legacy mode was just cause u guys updated the game a lot and did'nt know if everyone would like the updates better and all but, can u guys update legacy mode a little like no in the graphics or map, but in the items and stuff.

The game crashes within 20s (not even in game, in the menu) after latest update: 5/04/15 before 19h00 (UTC+2,Paris)
I think it has to do with anti-cheat. I saw a logo flashing once when the client crashed.
Anyway, another small bug: When you're wearing a piece of cloth that you want to unequip, you drag it to your inventory. If you put in on another object (as in a non empty space) that you cannot wear, the said object gets destroyed.
Also, alt-tab gets you kicked real quick. Actually, changing graphics from 5 to 0 takes so long on my computer I get kicked that way too for inactivity.
EDIT: A new update was released litteraly a second ago x).
EDIT2: The new update fixed the previous bug but introduced a new one. I got kicked for being non responsive while loading the game x). I know I don't load fast but still, that's harsh ^^.
EDIT3: FIXED but fps went to shit and I got kicked because of "entities out of order".
EDIT4: The entities out of order bug seems to have resolved itself. Some sounds are still missing sometimes and some barrels won't break.
Hello garry
I want to be brief I would like to Rust when cured with Bandage then appears as an animation curandose.Tambien I would like new weapons as long knife , also would be good accessories for weapons and silencers, sniper crosshair .
I think it'd probably be a good idea for people to discuss and post specific issues they're having on the DEVELOPMENT BRANCH. This will help us solve any issues and balance before we push updates live.
So, discuss away. The dev branch was broke yesterday due to compiling issues - but is working again now. I've changed a lot of item stuff so balances might be off, and some things might not work. Feedback & bug reports please.

For some reason ever since the update I cant seem to launch new rust anymore I can only launch old rust. Please fix the problem thanx

Where did you find that quote?
If you grab your shoes while on in your personal inventory and then drag it to a large chest on to a hatchet. The hatchet disappears and is nowhere to be found. Probably does the same on other items but I did not test.
It should switch like it does normally but I think sense it's in the clothing location it errors out.

You have 1gb of RAM, you need at least 4gb. This is not a problem of the Development Branch.

For further perspective on the issue, my mobile phone has more RAM than your PC.
after patch again i see ppl and buildings inside rocks. Garry fix it faster plz.
Okay. So this new update came out that makes stuff degrade over time, and apparently this means the air is now corrosive. As in, any structure will completely collapse given 24 hours (in real time). I hate comment trolls as much as the next guy, but I can't emphasize enough how FUCKING STUPID this is. You are punishing people for putting down your game for a SINGLE DAY, never mind if they, say, go on vacation for a week, forcing players to choose between being at all competent at your game and having any life outside of it. You are also punishing people for taking the time to be creative and hardworking, because they are only wasting resources on something that will by necessity vanish into nothing. And to top it all off, you are punishing players who DO put all of their time in, because all buildings decay at the same rate regardless of material. So players are punished for going the extra mile to make stone or metal buildings, because they'll vanish as quickly as the wood ones. Yes, you might see a short term uptick in server activity as people realize that they need to work harder to maintain what they have, but people will eventually get tired of spending an entire day in the game world just patching stuff up before having to go out the next day to find more materials to continue patching stuff up. They'll stop having fun. And doesn't that defeat the purpose of a game? You might say that Rust is about survival, that these buildings are never meant to be anything more than temporary, but in the absence of a concrete goal players have nothing to do but create more. You need to make some way for players to stop decay like maybe a craftable protective coating, or at least slow it down. Like, have stone buildings lose one hp in about 72 hours instead of crumbling to dust. A little more realistic, yes? And more fun too.
And while you're at it, being able to get things like food and cloth from plants would be nice.
Thanks.
There is a problem at facepuch amsterdam 3 server, it used to good FPS yesterday, but with the lastest patch my fps drops to halfi mean it was 50-60 but now it's 20-30. it's only in amsterdam 3 server, there isn't any problem in other servers.

i agree the corroding of buildings is quite annoying have you thought of making lower class buildings (twigs and wood) decay in like 2-3 days and higher class buildings (metal and reinforced) decay over a longer period like 1-3 weeks?
Can someone test this? (possible bug)
Place clothes in cloth slot.
Remove clothing piece and place it in a slot that another item occupies.
Item now appears in clothing slot even though you can't normally place items other then clothing in the clothing slot.

ok. now i know how it work. new bug its - build foundation with doorway near(close) rock, so doors can push you into rocks when u open it.
