NVIDIA GeForce 210
Your computer is too old. You need a computer built in the last 4 years to run Rust, sorry. :(
i know thats why im going to buy a new one but still for now from what i understood and from other games i can play it should run it...
Except you can't and that's what I'm telling you. Rust is not a finished game, you cannot expect it to run as smoothly as, say, Battlefield 4, which was released several years ago and has had tons of optimization work put into it. In fact, I just looked at the Steam store and the system specs have changed. You do not meet the minimum. You can still play Rust Legacy, the old, outdated version, but it's unsupported and you're likely to find the servers full of hackers. Your computer cannot run the new version of Rust, period.
ok thanks for the help then

Garry, I love Rust, great game. It does need a little more optimization, but I really appreciate that the money I put into the game is going into weekly developments. By the time this game is even a Beta it is going to be one of the coolest games on the market. One thing that could definitely use help is loading the game... When I try to load the game it decides to "Not Respond" about 2-10 times, sometimes it takes me 10 minutes to load the game... Then when I get onto the menus sometimes no servers are listed, most of the time I can proceed to my server though, but to load the server the game does "Not Respond" about 2-10 more times. Once I am in the game though, I can run at 100% quality and get 60 fps. It's not my computer. I am running an... i7 processor with 4 GHz 780 GTX graphics 12 Gb of RAM 7200 RPM 1Tb Hard Drive And all the drivers are up to date Thanks for reading, hope you guys the best. Regards, Dave
Quick note here: None of the skins I purchased last night (medic bucket helmet, Lawman's shirt and Santa's Little Helper) can be used in the game. They aren't available to be selected, but I can see that the number of skins I can make has increased. Put another way, I have two bucket helmet skins--default and medic--but I can only see the default skin. I've seen other people reporting this bug as well. Please fix!
The new skins are in the game, which is good, but the Santa's Little Helper skin can only be seen in 3rd person, not 1st person. In 1st person, it still looks like the old tommy gun skin.
Hello i bought Santa's Little Helper thomson skin but i cant see it can someone help me ???
Having serious cpu load and studder issues dealing with something with sound and missing files among other things. It starts out smooth, then... It definitely has some issues with optimization, LoD, raytracing, and transparencies.

Are you launching from inside steam?
I think it'd probably be a good idea for people to discuss and post specific issues they're having on the DEVELOPMENT BRANCH. This will help us solve any issues and balance before we push updates live. So, discuss away. The dev branch was broke yesterday due to compiling issues - but is working again now. I've changed a lot of item stuff so balances might be off, and some things might not work. Feedback & bug reports please. Not sure if anyone else has had this but my Auto-turrets seem to target people through walls and shoots into the walls.
Is there any fix for the Disconnected : connection attempt failed issue?
Hi garry - I have an idea for stuff for rust. The idea is totally awesome it's SHURIKENS!!! It would kill naked people within 3 hits and armored within 5-8 or so. They will also fly far and there will be 3 kinds wooden stone and metal. Thats it NOW ADD IT INTO GAME GAME NOW jk but think about. So I am having an issue with Rust. When I join a server the game locks up upon 'clicking any key' for revival or within several minutes of play time. The reason I am posting is because I feel my system should be able to handle rust at maximum settings(system specs are included). Anyhow I am not familiar with the potential fixes and work-arounds for this issue and have had a horrible time trying to find any, but I think I have narrowed down a potential culprit. I have monitored system performance during the loading screen when joining a server and have found that Rust crashes when my system managed pagefile reaches ~10gb. Expanding my pagefile might solve the problem, but i currently allow windows to manage that service. Therefore I am not certain as to what Windows 7 allocates for that file(I am assuming 10gb). Anyone with better knowledge, please chime in because my system should have no trouble running Rust on maximum settings, correct me if i'm wrong. Windows 7 64-bit AMD FX-6350 6-core 3.9ghz (OC@4.1ghz) MSI R9 380 256-bit 4gb GDDR5 8GB RAM **Rust is installed on an SSD which has about 30gb that are unused, i believe the page file is also managed on the SSD (and i don't want to hear about how you shouldn't have a pagefile on an SSD, but thanks)
So I'm having an issue with Rusty... I'm setting up a server and when I connect to my server through Rusty, it's confirmed pretty quick. But after a few minutes, I get this error... [Raknet] Server Shutting Down (Stopping Server) And I can't for the life of me figure out why it's doing that. I had a server previously and I've never had that issue come up before. Does anyone have any insight as to what it could be?
I have issue with Rust chat. I cant send a message to other players. I can open a chat write a message press Enter and nothing happens
I have issue with Rust chat. I cant send a message to other players. I can open a chat write a message press Enter and nothing happens
Is this only happening on dev or also on main? Have you sent the bug report using the in-game option for that? I ask this because you're not giving us any details (mods installed, OS used, configs used, hardware used), but the in-game bug report collects useful data automatically (AFAIK) That would be the best way to do it.
Heey garry one of your admins banned me for no reason if they think i hack i can proof i dont cause if i would hack i would raid the whole server i gues but i didnot hack so i got banned on amsterdam 3 if you wanna have proof that i am not hacking reply then please and tell me what you want me to do cause i will do everything to get me unbanned Steam name: hansasperger102 Ingame name: wijayboy2000

Garry i have a problem since 4 months. I have 300 hours in Rust and after a while on a update my client just crash away when i log on a server..... all is fine.... then loading, on warmung up assets... after they finish or around 1000 it just crashes to desktop no error.... nothing at all. I searched for solutions but nothing is working and i waited 4 months for a update because i tought it will make it work again. I still can't play Rust and i don't know who to speak with. Seems the game has more flaws with ATI graphics cards than Nvidia ones.
