R-Real-Really? Oh thank god, no more third person! I agree with garry to make it only available for admins.
And I think it's a good moment to get rid of 3th person view. Because just like zombies; the longer it is in game, the more people will cry about it wanting it back.
I can understand removing first person view, and it feels fair. I will miss being able to peek through walls, but what I'll miss even more is quieter harvesting noises. Every time I hit a tree or a rock, I go third person so I don't get deafened in my headphones by CLUNK CLUNK. Even though it gives me a disadvantage, because I have to switch back to first person to fight if I get trouble.

Please lower the gathering sounds volume!
What i found rather sad is that not only more decoration is being added but previous structures are now just nothing more than decoration as well,like caves!
You can no longer build inside caves, you cant build into those half rusty silo's its all just interesting objects but you cant do anything with them.

I agree with it being sad not being able to build in caves. I am sure it will return. If I remember correctly, caves were an experiment a while (quite a while) back. It was once ultra rare to find them.
I love 3rd person, however I hated the ability to clip into objects and peek into bases. Hopefully the removal of 3rd person is temporary. Let's wait and see.
It seems that when I switch from a graphic setting of 5 in the F2 Menu to a setting of 1 the water turns black.

While I'd prefer 3rd person to stay in, I completely understand it becoming developer/admin only.
Personally, I'd prefer if there was a 3rd person camera that didn't clip through walls, but I'm not exactly sure how much work that would take.
On another note, has anyone figured out the env.time command? I have tried env.time day, env.time 1300, env.time 13:00...
Shift+P and Shift+L are not are not working as well. I think the backend stuff was put in, but not implemented...

there are no minutes to specify as far as I know, you could try to use floats though: 10.50 => 10:30

I know they removed 3rd person and made it admin only, however I am admin and have a few moderators on my server, none of us are able to use it by pressing F3. Is there a key change with this or is it not working for admin/moderators yet?
Also, has anyone had any luck with shit+p or shift+l for speed and super jump? Or, like above, are they backended into the code but not yet implemented?

Sad about 3rd person. I didn't use it, but it should be up to a server admin to enable it or not. You've got to all this effort adding 3rd person models..

And it's all being used for the 3rd person models of other players.
It's not really a case of lost effort, just currently broken gameplay functionality.
Better to remove something that's broken and/or fix it later than to have it remain.
I personally do hope they fix it and add it back as an option for all. Weirdly enough, it added a nice bit of atmosphere and tactics to the game, in my opinion.

Hmm.. no luck too, but if we keep talk about admin (owner|moderator) abilities, there is few things that i want to know, maybe someone can told me something about that...
1. Few weeks ago - name of admins in chat must be seen in another color, it's still only for developers, i know this just a trifle, but it's a good thing.
2. I hope with new "extra abilities" not happen same thing.
Also, now it's impossible to use 3rd person view, and also vis.attack command not works (even if you are an owner)
3. is there any chance that sometime godmode returns? perfectly if it was feature only for owners, to do some good things on server, and not worry that you will be killed by someone and he get all yours stuff (e.g. you can have big amount of resources to build something unique for server players). I think - punish player for killing admin in this situation - is not right, he could even don't know about that.
People are using ceilings as walls for extra protection and to build outward without horizontal stability loss.
This along with crashing the game while falling to avoid fall damage is allowing people to skybridge great distances using sideways pillars and raid any base from the roof.
Will grab a screenshot of one of these bridges if I can but here is a full base of metal ceilings for walls.
NOTE: This is not a new bug specific to the dev build. It exists on the main branch as well.

Hello, I wanted to report a problem that I have not let me enter the menu from Rust Rust is that when I start the game remains caught in bootstrapping, leave an hour and still the same. Also reinstall the game, check the game on Steam, I tried it with another shared account on the same computer, restart the pc and nothing .... is quite frustrating and this happened shortly after upgrade my Rust.
I hope there is a solution. Thank you very much.

They are different I believe. The 3rd person models need to be made for 3rd person. Someone correct me if im wrong.

Starting last night / early this morning, a handful of us are receiving "Unhandled Raknet Packet 17" and cannot connect to certain dev-branch servers :(
Tried toggling back to stable, then back to dev, same issue. Uninstalled/reinstalled, same issue.

containers(fireplaces, boxes etc) sometimes remain "occupied" by me, blocking me from accessing it until i access another container.
items cooked in the fireplace with no slot to go to disappear.

If inventory is full and you pickup items they disappear. Was very sad when this happened with the assault rifle :(
