People certainly already know that by now - and especially the people at Facepunch - but Amsterdam is crashing too. Today I'd say about every 15-30 minutes. Needless to say, it's pretty much unplayable since you need to stay in your base at all times.
the barrels arent spawning anymore on hapis island , how do i fix that without using plugins , im the owner of shinra
Can somebody explain why does server sometimes kicks 20-30 players at once every 10-15 min with big error message on screen? Its dedicated server... EDIT: More of server with big disconnecting time logs... http://pastie.org/private/fahe0dvccpc7xg7rng1r0a
Server FPS is < 5 again after this patch. Fuck me.
Hope I am posting this in the correct place (fingers crossed)! I have some questions in regards to hosting my own server... Here goes: Rust server questions: 1) How do I update my Rust server a) I would like to regularly update my rust server with the latest beta builds, all the while allowing the players on it to: i) Keep their Blue Prints ii) Keep their building structures 2) How often do servers use Oxide? Is it super common? 3) How do I fix my server from having low end graphics? a) When I log into my server, it is producing lower end graphics, especially in the menus. Is there a way to fix that? 4) Is there a thread somewhere to ask noob server questions? a) I.E. How do I give a BP to someone (and all the above questions)?
For months now, as soon as i start up the Rust server on my Windows 8.1 machine it consumes 100% of the CPU and is totally unusable. I've got gobs of CPU and RAM on this machine. As soon as I kill the Rust server process, CPU goes back to normal. Any help would be much appreciated in how to track this down. I use this command to update the Rust Server package: c:\SteamCMD\steamcmd.exe +login anonymous +force_install_dir c:\rust +app_update 258550 validate +quit and I use this command to launch the Rust Server: c:\rust\RustDedicated.exe -batchmode -hostname "my-server-name-here" -port 28015 I've tried deleting all folders and files and re-installing but every time the server starts up 100% cpu is utilized and the CMD window no longer displays the server running stats - it's just a black screen. I don't see any errors or messages in the logs either. any advice?

Hello, we host a Rust Dedicated Server on our Root Server. The OS is Debian Jessie. We use wine and docker for the hosting. Everything is quite okay so long, but since three weeks we got every week an Abuse Message. We studied our logs and saw, that our server starts communication over UDP Port 28016 to million of different IP-adresses. The communications came from the Rust docker container. Is there a known security issue? We block now the communication from our Server on Port 28016 to the outside. Best Regards

AIRDROP BUG I tested At the time that the airdrop is generated, consumption per user increased to 120Kbps is crazy. The network consumption per user is increased x3 this causes my server pass 3Mbps (30 users) to 10Mbps which is absurd and it gives me the server lags. The developers are aware of this problem? It makes enough going on. Many servers Latin America died this problem since all vps connecion offer 10Mb and airdrop not supported. Here a dedicated server with 20Mb costs 167 usd If developers do not care about these issues there will be no servers to play I checked this on two servers if they can not fix it would be a good command of airdrop disable Best was the rust before when there were many servers and 150 players entered 10Mb
I need a ping limiter. Its stupid having ppl playing at wireless with 800 in ping and dragging the perfermance down. We need automated kicking of this!

After the upgrade the problem of airdrop network consumption x3 continues
we have a problem with airdrop, that makes increase the lag when the plain appear, we need to fix.
Does anybody have crash? I have crashes when i want to join a server,if anybody could help me please write!
What performance are they dragging down? Please be specific and detailed, as best as possible.
While i have the experiense from my minecraft server since 2011, its normal if someone is having a ping of 300 or above, they are bumping into elements around them, they should not have been able to interact with from their position. While having a connection super for both Rust and Minecraft server hosting, 80up and 80mbit down, its convenient a high ping will cause lag in form of time dealy and cause frustration. At smaller lines, this may cause other players to slow down and lag also. This DK server is also serving for Norway and Sweden, as they do not seem to have any servers running there. Its annoying for me as admin, to hear ppl cry for help with a ping of 800, while the RUST ingame chat field is not an online support community area for EDB-misunderstandings. I am also thinking of the population. If ppl won't understand, that they can disconnect often with a bad ping caused of a cheep bad private line, they start shooting at the servers instead as the problem, dragging the PR population down. And while we are at it: The FPS dropping down to 1 in periods, does not look like a cause of weak lines. This RUST sever can do it with only the admin only, or 5 online. It is just period related to the client, and appears to be a graphics aka calculation issue. Another disconnecting issue is provoked by placing several elements one by one after each other, and the client rejects the character to desktop, by minimizing the game or simply exists. This done with FPS at 60 and normal ping below 50.
I understand the server update (anytime now) will reset the official servers. if I update my private server, will it also reset my server maps/user data? Server Problem Anyone? Hey, guys, I run a modded server and from the last update I have a problem with buildings..people can build the foundation but after that pillars and walls are falling down ..and now they can t even place Cupboard or whatever stuff on the ground. I disabled all the plugins, restarted the server problem was fixed for about 15-20 minutes and camed back again.. Anyone else with this problem?
Hello, beautiful server when there is a dialogue that prevents Automatic restart the server using the CMD script. There is an analogue key -nocrushdialog in srcds.ehe for RustDedikated.exe?

Hey everyone, hope it's ok to post here... I read the devblog every time and I remember of a mandatory wipe being announced for one of the coming patches. Is there a way to find out an exact date? I want to offer backups of houses for my players but it's kind of annoying if we don't have an exact date. Sorry if this question has been asked already, still trying to get comfy with the forums here, it's my first post :) Kind Regards
