Ok just a quick report, on my Multiplay hosted server plus my home dedicated server the last patch has reduced memory footprint and CPU usage by at least 25%
I had no memory leak and am running oxide on both (only a few minimal plugins) and having the error in the console as above;
SU_RPCMessage: moveitem - Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Doesn't appear to affect gameplay. Good show on the reduced system resource requirement.

would love to go back to original network until these major bugs were fixed on the dev servers.
really hurting server populations..... pretty tough weekend...
8k+ maps eat huge memory/cpu, but a 6k does not. For example, 6k 250mb odd memory. 8k was 1.2gb.
Not sure if that's how it's meant to be.
Memory Leak still exists
3 people on server and RAM use on server is 1.5GB .. Should not even be hitting near that number unless 100 members online if that. I did not see those when I had a 200 pop legacy server.
Also the receiving 0/2 item still exists
[editline]22nd February 2015[/editline]
And the above is Vanilla or Modded.. 1k map side or larger does not matter .. Steam Update on server etc .. Issues are still not resolved
I'm sitting at ~65 players with 60fps right at 12hours of uptime and I'm only using 2.9 of 32gb of memory. It's fixed for me...
Note: I'm running vanilla
And any possibility that the 0/2 error could mean additions of some firewall exceptions. I have hosted service on a DDoS protected box for Rust and I know their firewalls can be something fierce

Do you have a screenshot of that 0/2 error you're referring to? I'm behind some decent ddos protection and I've not seen a 0/2 error, however I am getting some errors
Edit: Looks a little like this:

that error is when experimental is trying to access stable branch from what ive seen
If you start two server 0/2
Does not support multi-core processors, the server FPS does not decrease recovery
My English is not very good

Latest update didn't have a fix for the "Receiving data 0/2" problem, we have a thread with many having this issue. Its happening with both modded and vanilla servers. http://forum.rustoxide.com/threads/recieving-data-0-2.6990/
The 0/2 is mainly a clientside problem, so you need to make sure the client that is trying to connect is up to date too
The 0/2 is mainly a clientside problem, so you need to make sure the client that is trying to connect is up to date too
I'm not sure about that!!! Because yesterday I've updated my server and then my client, even re-install it from 0 downloading everything again, checked the integrity of the files with steam and even tried the development build and nothing works. It's pretty random with vanilla servers and modded ones!
What i can say for sure is the more players the server have, greater is the chance of the bug "receiving 0/2" appear. I say this because I've tested it already:
Restart the server and then i join - works 90% of the time.
Restart the server and after it has 20 players, i join - 70% of getting receiving 0/2.
Is it possible to make a FONCTIONNAL BUILD before pushing updates into /main ....
Community is pissed off man ! Wipe over wipe, record that to be the worst of rust's weekends . T_T
And btw Receiving is not client side , only thing that can prevent a client to connect is lastest .net framework update: control panel > windows update > Optionnal updates > .net framework
Thx any for your work ... just suck to build metal twice then see it flush down the toilet

We really want you to fix that!

there seem to be a vocal 10 or so new members who are pissed. i think most of us are used to the regular break/fix cycle now, despite what those few say.
i had a problem, i created a modded server with oxide plugins(airdrop_settings, deathnotes, fly, give, helptext, kits, gatherrate, godmode, teleportation, time ,payerlist, playerlocation, polling, stacksize and updater). at the first moments the things was going well but with 4 players and 20 minutes runing the server the server started to consume all my memory ram i have 8 gb and in my computer there was 7,60gbs in use and my computer was too much slowed and i should wait 5 minutes for press 1 time the mouse click, I was with the rust (game client) open with the lowest resolution and minimum graphics. i recomend to create a comand to limitate the max ram dedicated to the server or fix this because 4 players using almost 8 gb ram is too much and i think that its a bug or something wrong

You said you updated yesterday.. there was another client and server update today that supposedly fixed this.
Garry, I rent a server, but already more than 48 hours is up and yet does not appear in the master list. I know several people who do, too, is there any solution?
Try reinstalling, removing non-alphanumeric characters and changing the name repeated times. Sorry for my English, I'm from Argentina :)
Having a bit of a weird one here.. All the stones have vanished off the server? I've restarted the server and the stones are still not spawning.
Having the same problem with people getting the 0/2 receiving error. Can get a max of 8-10 people on the server then it starts happening. Fresh wipe this morning also

i got like 20 ppl on my server and on the o log i have ate least 50 ppl the tried to join the server several times but they could not!!!!!!
And again today it happened to me! just the receiving data screen was a litle diferent, instead of 0/2, it was 28344/28345 hahahah -_-
The 0/2 is mainly a clientside problem, so you need to make sure the client that is trying to connect is up to date too
My server can add and modify the name first, then when the 10 game player will report to 0/2, this is not the client issues.
Have an odd crash on start with just one set of hardware, other hardware servers start up fine.
Searched online and found others have the same error but no resolution.
Tried running as the standard restricted user and as Administrator, same result. Have Rust dmp and logs if needed.

ntdll is validated and issue only happens with rustdedicated.exe

Was thinking perhaps it was a missing dependency, but DirectX, MS C++ and the like are identical on other working systems.
Will try a OS reinstall after more troubleshooting, will report back if I find a fix.
