Not supported. Running it in Hamachi isolates it from Steam and Steamworks and it needs those to run.
Everyone else has to deal with DDOS just as much as you do.
You already made a thread for this, as well. Why do you think you'd get a better answer if you asked a second time in a slightly different place?
How Steam and Steamworks isolates?
The same way Hamachi isolates DDoS.
You can't have one without the other.

It seems to be safer than opening the main IP.

quarantine and open a ticket http://support.facepunchstudios.com/new-ticket. they may reply here, but in this case you are probably better contacting them through their site.
that said, it's probably a false, or from something else; i can't think of any other threads over the last few years stating positive malware finds from rust.
Hello,
I created a test server on Linux and saw that the map checksum differ with Windows clients (don't know if clients on other OS are having the same problem) :

Is that normal?
Is it possible to have the log.log.txt file store in a different place?
It's currently stored inside server/ident/log.log.txt

Bonjour tous le monde !
Aujourd'hui c'est le grand jour ! L'ouverture de mon , de notre serveur !
Serveur x100 accompagnée de pluggins !
Kit = Supply , Build , Food , Starter

Hi!
I need to enable utf-8 to a nodejs script I'm tweaking that will send killfeeds to my server through web rcon.
Although Vfloyd (rustadmin) said he contacted Garry "directly" (supposedly through a slack channel I don't have access to) and Garry added support to utf-8 (https://twitter.com/rustupdates/status/625965187649130496) I couldn't find anywhere how I could enable it.
I would like to make sure the messages and its contents are utf-8 encoded, then I need that the server sends utf-8 encoded messages through the socket and decodes my input as utf-8.
Since Vfloyd added a checkbox on rustadmin settings, I suppose it must be passed as a argument on connection. But how?

Hey garry,
Im having issues when trying to log in servers, every time it crashes and this message is given:
''The game crashed. The crash report folder named "2016-05-15_155200" next to game executable. It would be great if you'd send to the devoloper of the game!
When i open this folder there is a '' crash.dmp'' ---http://pastebin.com/x015V7Um---
If you could fix this i would realy aprecciate (sorry for my english)
Hi, I have a really annoying issue with my server, so basically I have been running this on Ubuntu server 14.04 for about 7 weeks, its been running perfect at 50 players average, but the server has got very busy now and since today when we hit 100+ players we get frequent crashes (every few hours).
I checked for any issues, nothing in the log, the process is still there in linux but the server is basically dead and i have to manually kill the process. I don't mind the crashes so much as i can fix them fast but because the server doesn't have time to save, we lose 10-15 minutes which then all the players get super pissed about, are there going to be bug fixes for this on linux?
I also checked the ram usage and its not even that high we have loads of leg room, This is on an I7 server 2x ssd so there really is no bottleneck on my end.

Even though you said you have checked for RAM usage, make sure you run ```free -m``` to make sure you have enough RAM.
Some VPS providers often show incorrect RAM usage on their dashboard. For instance, Microsoft Azure shows only half of actual RAM percent on it's dashboard when running Ubuntu instances.

Well its a dedicated server not a VPS, I used a number of commands to check for ram usage and its literally about 4GB for the OS and 8 GB ram usage for the server with 20GB still free :( very frustrating :(, is anyone else running a large busy linux server?
I was wondering if someone knew if you could run rust server on top of valgrind to detect memory leaks?
I receive the following messages in the server console when the user is disconnected from server:

I'm not 100% sure but this line here looks like a big give away. change the permissions of that file to allow it read access.
UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Rust\cfg\client.cfg" is denied.

I can't do it, because it seems that this path on player's side computer. Server running under linux and can not have this path.
Hmm that's very odd that it would be reporting an error on the clients side, quite unlikely too
If you are running linux I would double check the configurations for that path using this command:
grep -r "client.cfg" /home/myserverdirectory/, if this displays something then that shouldn't be there :)
If this is via TCadmin, then maybe speak to the hosts about this as maybe its a conflict with their windows master server configuration?
Help please...
