Why We Cant Change Our Skin And Characters? Why not to be Randomly for every Reborn? - Rust

Regardless of anyones opinions, its definitely not something on the top of the list that needs urgent attention, infact it is probably the lowest on the todo list.

I don't care one bit that I can't change my character appearance but I do see that is it a bit unfair for some people to be camo black or snow white and that some people are really short and thus better in PVP. I say scrap the current damage system, put in a more reliable hitbox system and make everyone have the same hitboxes and height (maybe 10cm variations or something).

A lot of games have fallen victim to the squeaky wheel. Enough people complain and obviously there is a problem. But because there are so many people that play, a small section of people complaining about a particular thing doesn't mean a majority of people agree with the complainant. It becomes hard to differentiate between what is an actual flaw in the gameplay mechanics and what is just people's personal preferences. But as I support players' freedom to choose how they want to play on other topics, I'm already inclined to support our freedom to look however we want as well. It's just something I think would make the game better.

Well. I would like the option to at least select gender but as it is we can't! I can both enjoy games where I can make it like I'm there in the game, or ones where I'm playing as someone else. I get more out of the first, but really, either one is fun and enjoyable if you let go of the need for your characters to be /you/.

All this constant bickering about racism. This isn't about being bullied or what the whiny kids want... jeeze it's about fun and immersion. A lot of people like to put on a persona when they play games where interaction with other people is common, Rust is a good example of this. The developers have clearly chosen to keep to their guns on the randomisation which helps level the playing field in various ways, but skin tone and physical sex should be chosen by the player for various reasons. For instance as I've seen, Mr Glass is proud of their familial background, players whom want to be the same skin tone in game as they are in real life should be allowed to choose that. There's way too much bigotry in the gender side of things as well, women on the internet are often treated poorly because of the animosity, especially in video games. I've spent a lot of time playing with female players in games where they cannot choose their physical sex for one reason or another and they all expressed how much they'd like to be represented in-game by their real-life sex. Transgender people struggle every day to be who they really are because society forces gender roles on everyone by their appearance and voice and quite often they suffer the sexism that appears on both sides of the binary fence. These players should be able to appear however they choose to represent themselves. Honestly, I understand why the randomisation may have been chosen ethically but the end result is as bad as what was trying to be prevented in the first place. People will always be assholes to other people, may as well let everyone appear how they want and deal with the bigotry and asshole comments the way they need to, right?

I just want a female character with a Furiosa makeup job, wolf headdress+bone armor, really.

They are reworking the playermodels anyway and everyone will get a new character and after they added more and more variation your character will change again and again.
