your steam id is usefull for new rust whitelist too, take care for futur
wow I feel silly. Until this thread I always just assumed that you could repurchase a new "untainted" copy of the game on the same steam account, as if to replace the proverbial bad cd key. That sucks lol. Glad I don't hack
You can't do anything about it, sucks for you (not really lol)
*Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) System info* 1. I appreciate your candidness, and your remorse. Cheating is a terrible thing, and I hope you really have been scared straight, and will buy the game again and this time join us in playing legitimately. No, you don't have any choice but to create a new account and buy it again. Since you were interested in keeping your name, I can at least offer you the consolation that Steam allows you to show whatever name you wish through the profile system. So even if your account name is different, your in-games name can still be the same. Pay the penalty for your crimes. But I forgive you.
You need to create an alternate steam account and re-purchase the game. That is the penalty for cheating.
Amerikano.
Hi. Tired of constant rubberbandings, rollbacks and hours and hours of gameplay wasted (just like everybody else), I grew even more tired of this game and decided to leave it on the shelf for a while. Then I had a brilliant idea of using a helping hack and a injected map to travel faster and find resources easily, and to see what hacking is really about (never hacked before.... uhh maybe on GTA SA..) first deception: they're mostly just viruses. second deception: it doesn't show up natural resources, only people's resources, which I'm not interested in stealing. third deception: it ain't too fast =( fourth deception: it's lousy, inprecise and lags. but it had a light hack so it was a nice advantage at night. coolio. Got loads of resources, built my stuff and the server rollbacked. To shelf with it. Today I tried to play again, hackless (as the game updated, the hack said it was incompatible) just to see a VAC ban. I'm sad and regret using a hack (that in the end was useless lol), but I'm pretty impressed that the VAC actually works. I've seen so many hackers in several VAC protected games that I thought it was mostly a scarecrow. But I regret doing it, srsly =( I know I can create a new steam account, buy the game again, spoof the machine, change the ip or blablabla.. but I wanted to retain my original steam name =\ Can I buy the game once again and get a ban lift? Not hacking again I swear :v: If there's no other option available.. ok I'm cool with that. Use the money I paid to invest in the game, when it's done it'll be fun like hell. I did crap and now I'm in for life. When the game matures, I'll be mature enough to play it cool. And with a different account. but I reeeeeeeeeaally want to give it another shot... later... maybe next year... or so, with my normal account. P.S.: I play on PVE =) but it still was a unfair advantage over other gamers, I know. P.P.S.: Kids, don't cheat. It ain't worth it. tl;dr: I got caught with the hand in cookie jar. I'm crying and my hand is stuck. VAC slapped me, I've learnt the lesson and it ain't worth doing it. Do I have any option whatsoever to get a ban lift (by buying again or something) or the only way out is to make a new account, buy and play it again?
"A helping hack" I'm sorry but you're a fool! You have to grind for the day or week to be able to build / craft, just like everyone else. There is no quick fixes and people generally have a fuck you attitude but it's tough luck I'm afraid if you got banned for being lazy! There is a special place in hell for you and your cheating buddies. Don't try and justify it. I read about 2 lines in and laughed. Maybe a few more bans will set you straight. I really wish there was some kind of ip ban or a method of detecting your pc so you couldn't play Rust Anymore!

I'm not 100% convinced if you hadn't been caught that you wouldn't have kept doing it.
spread your legs, bend over, stick your head between your legs and kiss your arse goodbye. another hacker bites the dust

I didn't need to be scared straight, as I had already stopped hacking by the time I went back in the game, but the system doesn't distinguishes. A cheater is a cheater and I'll pay for it.
Rust isn't the only game you've cheated and used hacks in. What was your reason for the other games? In fact looking at your MPGH account that you've had since 2012, (what a surprise, you used the exact same name) you were originally there for Combat Arms cheats. What did you need Combat Arms cheats for? To harvest wood faster? Because of lag and rollbacks? Admitting you cheated is fine. But no need to further sully yourself with lame excuses.
I don't kinda remember why I had an account on MPGH in the first place. I tried registering and it said I already had an account. It seems that I visited this site before to get tools/hack to add a team/clan on cracked CoD MW2 (times that I didn't had enough money to buy games). I don't remember myself playing Combat Arms. I'm not a cheater =) ....mmmmmmmmmmmmaybe on singleplayer games...
would be funny if you could commit any crime or break any rule IRL, man up to it, apologize and get off scott-free... maybe in America  -for all the people that play legit, sure you may be at a disadvantage but then again, you can read these (or only portions of) posts about getting caught and feel a little smug that justice is a thing and it's being served periodically... ps. to the OP I honestly almost felt sorry for you, then didn't :P
If you plead guilty, you might get a lighter sentence. Don't need to feel sorry for me. I can face the consequences from my acts and decisions :v:
Give Garry another £15 then you can play again. Hungry man needs another McDonalds.
Surely... sometime.
would have been cheaper to hire a server and spawn everything via admin =] lesson learned I guess.
Wouldn't make sense, I wanted my stuff back where I usually played.
GTMoraes, for example i choose my first server, in pve server to learn how to play to this game in peace, after i go to pvp but i choose a server where i can téléport to house and my corpse when i m dead, now i play to a real pvp server, you must know in this game death is really punitive, you must think to choose the right server in the start.
It wasn't a normal death. I'd face it normally if it were, but it was a server bug, which drove me mad
you can get new steam account and re buy the game. Will be inconvenient for you if you have many games and friends on old account. But that is what you get man! Fucking hate hackers.
Yeah. Cheating ain't worth it. So many games stained now. I even used to kid around with a friend calling him a hacker and stuff, driving him mad. Guess who's laughing now lol
"A helping hack" I'm sorry but you're a fool! But that's your opinion and I respect it. Sorry for what I did anyway.
Is grinding really all that fun though when its so easily looted and destroyed? and IP bans are worthless, hardware bans are so unneeded unless they are hardcore cheaters, which OP is not unless he's lying and has been doing even worse.
Like I stated before, if I had lost my stuff to a raider/destroyer, or by God, even boxers, I'd not get that mad about it. It would be basically my fault, but a server wide error is just mean. If I were a hardcore hacker, why in the world would I use my main account for cheating with a public free hack, and come over here pleading forgiveness? lol Hardware bans are MAC-Address based, which is easily spoofed anyway. And I was pretty stupid. Thought those several guys that didn't get VAC banned at first meaned that it was safe.
I'm not 100% convinced if you hadn't been caught that you wouldn't have kept doing it.
Can't prove you I wouldn't, but I can assure you I wouldn't. Anyway, you wouldn't believe a sniper with a Barret .50 cal on the rooftop of a building if he said he was hunting birds. I'm in loss here.
spread your legs, bend over, stick your head between your legs and kiss your arse goodbye. another hacker bites the dust
lol ok
Go out any try to manage your life with cheats. Then see what you will get. But really, cheating is bad. Perhaps you will get banned from here anyway. But I just wanted to let you know that it's wrong to cheat. Feel free to donate further 20 bucks to Garry. Thanks.
Yea.. its weird i read his entire message and no where did i see him say it was bad to cheat or that regretted it... oh wait he did. Why even bother saying this. He knows and said cheating is bad.

But the only way to play again is to buy another copy on rust and play it on another steam account because VAC wont unban you.
