ahhahaha massive asshole but still hilarious
happened to me before, now i trust no one. Waiting for someone to be AFK then killing them is pretty lame though and im surprised by how excited you were to actually kill someone. I guess it doesnt happen much for you, hence having to wait until they are AFK, Good job...
If you can't handle that type of gameplay, then don't play the game. It's simple. That's like saying you hate World of Warcraft because it's multiplayer. It's part of the game. It's part of how the game is played. You can't expect people to only play the game how you want to play it. Sure, you can dislike people that play that way, but you still have to accept it.
Being a dick has nothing to do with gameplay.
american/10 you're a cunt , impressive accomplishment
Well done 10/10. If you play EVE i am sure we are in the same Alliance.
And i wonder why people shot naked people...
Hey I walk around and attack people that are gathering ore or that are in houses, break them wooden downs down with my hatcher, I kill noobs walking around with their friends with torches because they might have anything But i never kill anyone that helps me, I still stay on my guard but it's just respectful... Just shows what kind of person you are if you are, instead of taking it for *oh these guys are nice and helped me out* you con them and kill them both as a reward for helping you I'm an ass hole and kill noobs but i'm not enough of an ass hole to do what you did
I wouldnt want to be his friend put it that way. Who will he shoot next.. I guess everyone now knows who they cant trust eh :)
yeah... so fun being a dick to friendly people. i guess when you have no skill you must resort to trickery to win.
Wow... just wow. And you posted this video for everyone to see. Did that really make you feel good? That's incredible.
Today I learned that people still trust people who play first person shooters. From my experience, FPS players are pretty much the asshole of the internet. Always kill them if they have any chance of killing you. Always.

Always kill them if they have any chance of killing you. Always.
I'm really curious what started this type of behavior. I remember playing games 15 years ago and everyone was friendly for the most part. Sure you had a few jerks here and there, but it seems to have taken over since CoD came out. Gamers lost trust in each other and someone developed a culture of satisfaction by griefing each other. When a person plays a game there is no "feeling" in their interaction with other players. Somewhere along the line we've separated our behavior in game from our behavior in real life. All the while many of the emotions felt in life are in fact the same felt in game. Games are developed as a source of entertainment and are meant to be enjoyed. The disconnection of empathy from other players is making that very difficult for most players. I suppose when I was younger I was more apt to play PvP type games because I had nothing but time. Not that I'm older and have limited playing time I prefer to play more PvE style, make good friends and just enjoy playing a great game. The game encourages the behavior shown in this video, and that's the way he chooses to play. Unfortunately the guys who were being overly friendly were taken advantage of. This likely will become a cycle where they too will become "jerks" because they'll feel it's necessary to enjoy the game.
Why is this generation of gamers such carebears? This guy deserves an award. Well played.
Who in their right mind minimizes their game after giving a random guy they just killed his gun/ammo/armor back.
This. Look the issue with this, is if everyone's an asshole like you who kills players when they are trying to help you, (Who weren't even there.) some people are gonna straight up stop playing the game. Excusing this behavior as, "If you can't handle this type of gameplay, don't play the game." Is just straight up broken. There is no set "Way" to play the game thinking this way is just gonna make this game full of KOS'ers down the line, making it absolutely impossible for ANYONE to get anywhere unless you kill EVERYONE on sight. Why is it so hard for people to cooperate? You can get so much stuff done, and if you wanna kill eachother, group up and have a war with a similarly kitted force. NOW THAT'S where the game really shines. None of that blindsiding people when they can't defend themselves, shit.
While griefing is a fun part of this game, that was total dick, even on my worst day id let 1 live while im leaving so he can get the gear back. (because he offered to help) But yeah its a game, seen this coming a mile away don't know why some of you are surprised. @swag you are a bigger doushe then this guy, at least he had fun while doing it. If you guys want to solve the "doushe bag bandit" aspect then add a system to add bounties on people who kill you (unless you're near their sleeping bag) and types benefits for helping people. Right now theres no reason to be friends with anyone except to out gun other people.
Counter play to bandits already exists. Give them something more valuable than your little shanty. We raided a small group last night and they ended up getting a conversation going. They were setting up a town to help new players and offered to give us all the explosives/charges that their people got as well as passed us information on other bandit groups in exchange for not raiding them.
OP, you are the reason I play lone-wolf and kill-on-site. I hate people like you.

There is a very specific way of dealing with that type of person.
lol this is what the games about. he tricked these nubs fair and square. its a survival game. everyones gotta get ahead na mean?
Well done sir! Everyone needs to stop being so butthurt in this thread. This is a survival game and he punished two people for being careless.
Great to see the new generation of gamers has such a great grasp of morals. I see a lot saying: "Hey, but this is just what the game is about!" And i'd like to tell these people it's exactly this kind of behavior that causes great ideas like Rust to whittle down into a DM fest until the entire idea having a "society" in a game is gone, and nothing is left but a husk of a shooting game -with some crafting elements slapped on. Don't get me wrong, maybe with Rust it'll go different, my point is giving such an amount of freedom to the gamers usually doesn't end well for the game. tl;dr Great to see ya'll kids think a lack of cojones is cool and funny and part of the game. [editline]1st January 2014[/editline] "na mean"
To all the people crying they hate people like this.. Don't you understand that people like this keep the game interesting? People like this create the fear of coming near other players, or cooperating with people you don't know. The fear that when you are outside of your home you could get killed at any time. This game is about survival, not about creating online friends and living happily ever after. If everyone on Rust was friendly? What the hell are you gonna do then? Celebrate how big your house is? Kill bears and zombies all the time? No you wouldn't, you would raid bases and stuff, kill other people because you are rich anyway. Oh and that's different? Breaking into someone's house and steal all of his shit while he is sleeping? The guy in the video just played it smart. A perfect example of why you shouldn't trust anyone you don't know. And that is IMO how it should be in Rust. Because that's what keeps the game interesting. If I only want fair fights I could go play any other FPS game, if I want to build a house I could play minecraft or the sims or whatever. I usually never post on this forum, I just couldn't stand it anymore all the people crying about stuff like this. Thanks for reading.
Sure it's shit like this that keeps the game interesting. End-game. Like you say, raiding towns and shit, surely must be cool. But when you just meet a random bloak, and he out-gunned you, and then gives you back SOME of your dignity; You might wanna just have the sense and respect not to kill the guy. If you don't, good luck getting anywhere near end-game. If nobody trusts each other, town's are gonna be a hard task to accomplish i'd say.
If you don't, good luck getting anywhere near end-game. Playing solo is pretty much impossible
This is what this game is all about, and I would have done the same damn thing. Hilarious video, made me laugh way hard. Don't trust people and maybe you won't get wrecked every second.
Why is this generation of gamers such carebears? This guy deserves an award. Well played.
It is not hard to do this. You just have to be enough coldhearted to be able to. [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline] I think it would be healthy if people could stop seeing everything black or white. just because someine think that OP is dick doesnt mean theye ar super carebears that only want pve and if someone likes to play rpk doesnt mean that theye are 12 year old CoD dick heads. The morality that people are talking about i think is just sportsmanship. I can shouse to team up and help others if I want but I can also shouse to play against them and use any means in the game to beat them and wont feel to bad about beating them, but this is outside the sportsmanships in my opinion. This is kinda like playing in a musik competition and meeting the other competing band out of stadge and saying "hey, your guitar looks awesome. can i try it?" and then breaks it. Sure playing on other peoples trust can be a part of your game but that is the difference of just playing the game as it is or being a real dick.
You learned well young padawan ;)
He's definitely an asshole, but a totally necessary asshole. Without people like this, the game would have no tension or challenge at the moment. As if you're going to get killed by a zombie or a wolf after you get your first 9mm?
A better video illustrating the madness that is RUST.
