He's definitely an asshole, but a totally necessary asshole. Without people like this, the game would have no tension or challenge at the moment. As if you're going to get killed by a zombie or a wolf after you get your first 9mm?
We actually just stumbled across a naked who died to a zombie at night after picking up a bolt action from an airdrop. Definitely the most random loot I've seen.
And i wonder why people shot naked people...
indeed
I felt genuine disgust.
exactly how this game should be played, keep it up
yeah you are a dick, I mean I KOS everyone but these guys were genuine..
I couldnt do it, Id just shoot them straight up none of this ncie chat beforehand.
if you wanna hold hands and team up with everyone on the server then play pve! The one time I let a guy live he pulled out a shotgun and shot me when my back was turned and stole all my stuff!
well done! And this is why whenever I kill someone, I throw away their bullets before giving them their gun back. lol
The thing is your reputation will stay with you long after the servers are wiped.
I personally enjoy killing and raiding, it gets the blood flowing.. but there is a difference between that and 'this'.
OH MY GOD.
I don't know what I enjoy more, the hilarious video, or all the mad kids in this thread. lmfao.
I'm sure it's been said but, holy shit it's a PvP server, you're going to hand a guy a gun and then
tab out? You shitting me? I would have shot those two dead also if not just to teach them a lesson. If you wan't to be a carebear go play on a PvE carebear server and build some pointless defensive bases to protect you from the nothing. Great Video 10/10

This is no PVP - this is being douchebag. But it looks like you dont understand PVP and you never will understand it...

So it's called carebearing when these guys wanted some company to play with & make new friends? Kids these days.
So it's called carebearing when these guys wanted some company to play with & make new friends? Kids these days.
Exactly. There is a huge difference between community and carebearing.
I'm all for raiding and fighting your way to the top but this guy has made his own rules and it wont be long until we are all playing by those rules. I thought there was meant to be player freedom? Instead the rules are going to be set by guys like this :(
Well, I don't like people like you, you have no honor at all.
I'm a bandit, but at least I don't need to deceive to kill players I want dead.
Why do I have the feeling that things like this happen many times in real life also.
you are a dick head, Thank is all.
I'm really curious what started this type of behavior. I remember playing games 15 years ago and everyone was friendly for the most part. Sure you had a few jerks here and there, but it seems to have taken over since CoD came out. Gamers lost trust in each other and someone developed a culture of satisfaction by griefing each other.
When a person plays a game there is no "feeling" in their interaction with other players. Somewhere along the line we've separated our behavior in game from our behavior in real life. All the while many of the emotions felt in life are in fact the same felt in game. Games are developed as a source of entertainment and are meant to be enjoyed. The disconnection of empathy from other players is making that very difficult for most players.
I suppose when I was younger I was more apt to play PvP type games because I had nothing but time. Not that I'm older and have limited playing time I prefer to play more PvE style, make good friends and just enjoy playing a great game.
The game encourages the behavior shown in this video, and that's the way he chooses to play. Unfortunately the guys who were being overly friendly were taken advantage of. This likely will become a cycle where they too will become "jerks" because they'll feel it's necessary to enjoy the game.
Look at the post right below yours... that's why.
Common decency is "carebear" now. So just kill them all. It's the simple solution.
this is why you trust no one, unless its your RL friends.
Lol?
If they don't like it, then just don't play it.
why do you feel the need to show in a video how good you are by killing someone random, get good ;).
Great to see the new generation of gamers has such a great grasp of morals.
I see a lot saying: "Hey, but this is just what the game is about!"
And i'd like to tell these people it's exactly this kind of behavior that causes great ideas like Rust to whittle down into a DM fest until the entire idea having a "society" in a game is gone, and nothing is left but a husk of a shooting game -with some crafting elements slapped on.
Don't get me wrong, maybe with Rust it'll go different, my point is giving such an amount of freedom to the gamers usually doesn't end well for the game.
tl;dr
Great to see ya'll kids think a lack of cojones is cool and funny and part of the game.

"na mean"
you mean exactly how DayZ Mod turned out right?.
Is it a dick move...probably...but as I was once told in another sandbox game "If you cannot drive to the guy's house and punch him in the face for screwing you, don't fully trust him!".
Shit happens in these types of games that piss people off but is it just pixels on a monitor.
I wanted to respond to a lot of the hate.
On the servers I am established on we do raid and pillage as much as we can, but we do it against well off targets. We do it against bases that provide us with more goods to have more power. When I come across friendly fresh spawns and I'm not in a dangerous spot I will give them full sets of armor, food and weapons that we acquired during the raids. I'll try to inform them where the dangerous parts of the map are and how to stay alive.
"what's wrong with the game" is not people like me who take advantage of the kinder rich folk to further my own survival, its the roaming bands of dupers with 100s of C4 that blow apart every structure and kill everyone they see on sight.
Douche...
Congratulations, you've officially deemed yourself as a grade A asshole. Players like you makes up a huge chunk of reasons of why a lot of people have an extremely negative first-impression for Rust.
WELCOME TO OPEN UNRESTRICTED PVP DEAL WITH IT!

these guys heart was in the right place but man were they dumb about it.
1) if you giving weapons back take the damn ammo, you can click and unload guns
2) always keep some one with a gun on the guy ffs
3) id never do this 2v1 it would be at least 3v1 before i dont shoot on sight
just like real life you need to be careful who you trust, sure this guy was an asshole but guess what thats life.
learn from this video how not to recruit or take prisoners, rather than bitch and moan about something that is completely an intentional facet of the game.
reading this thread is a very good way to see who is actually interested in open pvp and who is just here because its a realistic minecraft.
open pvp is not for everyone, the OP is a huge dick, guess what its totally allowed and i may add quite effective when your dealing with people that dumb. this is the very essence of unrestricted pvp if any you think for a half second there should be anything to stop this guy from doing what he did, guess what you don't have any interest in an unrestricted pvp game and you should look else where.
killing them while they are alt tabbed is lame, but those dumb asses died due to their own stupidity, these are the same sort of knuckle draggers that would do the same thing irl take him home and let him make diner (getting poisoned in the meantime)

You dont kill fresh spawns? Hm right - youre waiting till they get more loot and then if you see them youre waiting till theyre on desktop to kill them...
And these things with the hackers? Really? You justify your douchebag action with that other players hack? Thats sad, really really sad.
yolo
It's funny but WOW! Ahah I wouldn't of done that..

It's not hacking, it is an ingame exploit.

Thats not the point... And hacking also can be to abuse an ingame exploit...

Lol, backpaddle all you like. Everyone knows you are a complete arsehole at the core. Nobody cares that you kill people. Its the snide and cheap way that you go about it! This video is just a tiny peak into the devious shitpit that is your mind.
Don't see why this guys getting all this hate, simple survival tactics can go a long way.
