You got some serious holes in your logic buddy. If you're placing cupboards around your first floor you'd either need to create a HUGE structure, or put some toolcupboards around your perimeter wall. Those perimeter cupboards are your new weakspot because it can create a soft siege effect. Get one and all of a sudden you can build on an outer edge, use that to get to the next cupboard etc.
