I think that rust is a very unique game and has a lot of potential.
my first impression:
first of all i though that rust was just a bad graphic game and nothing much. then i heard that the creator of garrys mod created it too and i though wow that must be a good game so i checked it out a bit on youtube and ya i realised its alot more. stealth,zombies,crafting its like a new evolution of dayz . i would love to play it!

Rust to me seems like a game with endless possibilities. At this stage there isn't really much to do as the game is still in pre-alpha, but I can imagine that it will become a game quite similar to Garry's Mod with the crafting system (even though you don't craft items in Garry's Mod, you can use different items to build a car/plane) etc., but the survival/PvP aspect will also allow for the possibility of you losing everything.
I don't think the game will have too many similarities to DayZ, as if you die you can simply spawn at your home, the zombies will be replaced with other mobs, and the fact that you can craft your own weapons/build your own house.
What I am looking forward to though would be to gather supplies, build a base simply off my own imagination, teaming up with other players, and of course, killing other players.
Anyway, my first impressions are basically the ones listed above.

First, impression was. Rust gameplay is kinda good still not much at the moment since it is still alpha i believe. This game really has alot of potential i wanna be one of the few hundreds players that played Rust and follow it's development

My first impression?
simply amazing. I cannot stop watching twitch streams, or thinking about it. work has been hell lately and simply WATCHING it is enough to help release some of the stress, I cant imagine what playing it would do to me.

My first impression is : Its a great game, i didn't expect to thit for a game on navigator. I like the concept of having farm to do something, like minecraft. I think this game can do a place with the best survival-games
