I havent flaunted anything.
I made the post where I commited that not all 2013 joiners are bad. Thats it.
Then I've made some DOTA 2 posts, but that is ooc right now.

Ok, lets stop this, there is no need to bash each other on the forums. Just be civilized and we can all be on our merry way.
For me, the play style of DayZ is clunky. What I've noticed with Garry's Mod (and even this mod after viewing screens/videos) is that the movement and play style is very smooth and fluid. The graphics may leave a bit to be desired, but I will take gameplay 100% of the time over how something looks. I'm really interested in seeing how the in-game mechanics work, so I can hype this game up for our gaming community. About 50 of us played DayZ and some still do, but we are all very interested in what Garry can offer. I mean, his mod is still near the top of Steam's activity charts.
So in short, game looks great for playability (at the least) and seems like it has a ton of potential.

Why do you want any game? Because you want something new to play. And this type of game seems pretty unique.
Maybe because it is made by the person who made a game that I spent hours on!

My opinion is that it 'is' in alpha. People want it because they want to feel special for having access to what the majority are unable to get.

I want a key because there are 13000 users yet about 90-100 people play it ? I just think they could let a few more people play it and help find the bugs etc , and the game does look pretty awesome im watching gameplay/livestreams non stop :P
For me, it looks pretty un-fun in the grand scheme of things. I'd like to tinker around with what's already made so far, but I have a weird feeling I'd never open it back up again. I mean, considering all of the hackers, beggars, and weirdness of the gameplay right now, it just seems like too much for me to really want to deal with. When it's finalized, sure, I'd be up for playing it, but no, I'm not that hellbent on playing in it's current state and that's not a diss on the developers. It's in alpha.
I'm about to commit murder to get my hands on one of these keys. The game looks so damn awesome and combines two of my favorite games into one.

That's what people want to say in a year or two. It makes them feel special and that their better than the new players. I don't blame 'em do, We've all been guilty of it before. I've seen it happening alot more lately do because of all of the exclusive PC releases in the past year.
Great looking game do, and I can't wait till beta comes public so most of the bugs will be fixed and it will be just right for me to start playing. Also beggars, remember that this is just the alpha stages of the game and it won't be dying or getting worse anytime soon, We can only go up from here.
The game looks okay and it was fun for a little bit but I lost complete interest in it as it's just a bit bland and not really my taste at all. But it was fun building your house a bit and such but I don't really see me playing it anymore as I am getting a bit bored of zombies as well and things like that. Oh well, we'll see how it'll turn out.

As you said there is already 13000 people, why would they need more to ALPHA TEST?
I just decided to look into the game tonight after hearing a friend talk about it so much from what I see I like it, it looks like a much more long term game compared the other survival games that don't incorporate the content that this does. However much as I would like to be lucky enough to receive an alpha key, I don't plan on asking for one. I will keep up with the content updates and hopefully enough be lucky and receive a key or perhaps have the pleasure of playing at some point in time. I agree with your point OP, but to be mad at somebody for their eagerness to play the game is pointless, of course they do spam the forums which is rude, but however for somebody to be showing the eagerness to beg does state how much they may want to play in some cases. Some just don't like to wait. All in all I agree to disagree but I don't plan on begging I will receive my chance to play when I've earned it, or until the game becomes open to the public again.
Until then great job devs the game looks great can't wait to play it. Keep up the good work. :)

I was addicted to Wurm for a short time before i worked out that it was entirely locked in deeds and it became too easy. Best looking SURVIVAL game ive seen so far.
Starting to think i'm getting tricked in the Drawing sector... Really annoying to see that other's get a immediate response on their work. And the others just don't...
