I hate things some of garrys team does like for instance the whole decay system modification. They just release an update without testing it, timers for decay were Twig for every tier, so they never tested it, what was the result? that every rust players logged in to find their base screwed by decay and their fun ruined just because a dev couldnt test for 1 hour the changes he made....
I know i know it is an alpha, but still u gotta respect the time players are putting into your game...
I dont care for changes, i expect a lot of changes to core gameplay, but do them right... or at least try to test what you are implementing, thats why there are several DEV servers to test fresh builds before going live... This is not the first or second time that something like this has happen...
I've raided a lot with ladders and I think it's fine the way it changed. Ladder raiding had become very easy. But I already see myself stuck in a random house because I forgot I couldnt place ladders :D

Welcome to early-access, where glitches are possible and you're the tester.

U didnt even read what i posted.
I know it is early access, i know im a tester. BUT some glitches and bugs can be found out by just 1 hour of testing before release thats the reason there is a DEV BUILD and there is DEV SERVERS so they can test before releasing an update.
I really dont care if a glitch or bug breaks the game if it wasnt expected, what pisses me off is what Hulk did this last update, releasing a modification to the decay system without even testing 20 mins if it was working properly. I mean it was OBVIOUS that every tier had the same timer as TWIG like u could see foundations decaying...
Im all in for changes etc what im not in is breaking the game and screwing our gameplay without necessity because a dev was lazy and didnt test for 1 hour the modifications he just made, he could have avoided EASILY screwing all of our bases that we spent weeks building...

This comment is so self righteous and presumptuous it's funny.
There is no way of knowing how a change in code will affect real world game play. You can "test" a script for months and have it work exactly as you wrote it. Then release it where it now operates with a hundred different variables affecting it and it behaves differently.
How many games get patched after an update that AREN'T Alpha? How often does Windows OS or Chrome, or Firefox or anything else get updated, then patched because something doesn't work after the "real world" is using it ways even the best testers didn't consider?

I can agree with this to an extent when it comes to many changes. In those cases, changes that worked fine in testing don't work as intended in certain situations because of external variables or actions performed by people that the devs or testers didn't consider. That happens all the time in any software, not just games.
Most of these bugs require player input to trigger them (like duping bugs or exploits) which is the external variable. In this case, the decay bug was a very overt and global bug that affected every single server (including dev servers before rollout) and has no connection to external variables. The only variables that affects decay rate is the foundation materials, not world variables or players. If they didn't catch something this obvious, it's because they didn't bother testing it.
That said, this is alpha, and shit like this is to be expected. I'm not complaining about it. But the server I play on went from having 30+ people on at all times (about 50 regulars) to having about 3-5 players now. This bug wiped out everyone and no one wants to start over until after the wipe. Even I stopped playing and likely won't until the update on Thursday. And I hear that this has happened on a lot of servers as a result of this bug. So alpha or not, this had a major impact on the community.
