Reducing resources doesn't help anything. It actually causes a few problems. Ever since the patch me and my crew have been raiding more heavily because farming resources is no longer a viable option. We would rather raid some dude for his shit instead of waiting 4 hours to craft it ourselves.
This also causes me to kill naked dudes more often because there is a chance that they have resources and it saves me time if I take theirs.
I haven't had any problems finding resources.
I suggest to dynamically adjust the resource nodes that would depend on the amount of players on the server.
So it would be less nodes in the morning, a more would be in the peak hours.
At first glance it does look as though the metal ones (mentioned in another post as well) are now less frequent. I see wood and sulphur ones in abundance but the metal seems rarer
I was wondering yesterday too, there was only 8 guys on our server, and we could barely find a woodstack every 10 min. There was a team of 3 and we got raided because there wasn't enough food to build ceilings.
:suicide:
Theres plenty of resources if you know where to look. Problem is either build your base somewhat close to them, or end up building far away and making the trek back'n'forth carrying huge hauls of wood/stone/metal back to base.
Though I do agree the amount of "nodes" seems lower, i.e. "resource valley" for example tends to have fewer "nodes" of resources spawn in than it did in the past. It could just be my imagination but it does feel that way.
I dont think it is your imagination. I was figuring, 'well others are just hitting them areas before me', but now I'm sure I've come across unfarmed areas and there are less. Wood still seems to be about the same but a cpl of days into a fresh wiped server and wood isn't a premium.
Something to get used to... not having quite as much to cook off at one time but It's worth investigating to see if it makes gear more valuable..
Well before the update you could run up and down hacker valley and the resources respawned after 5 minutes and there were so many resources.
Now after the update hacker valley is nearly emtpy and there is noone else then us so we should see if the resources respawn..
Noobs wouldn't be so butt hurt?
Before the update you could gather enough wood to build your little base but still get raidet because you couldn't build it secure enough.
Now you get so little wood that after 30 minutes of farming you can build 9 foundations and a few walls. That's so insecure that you have no chance at all to protect your loot.
If this is how it will stay for ever. I don't see a future for newcomers.
there is a system in place(i forgot the name of it) and basically when/if you camp a resource spawn you will get less and less each time they spawn
I'm fine with having a lower resource count, but it does seem a bit too slow to respawn. We were basically forced to raid everyone we see since we couldn't find enough resources to support our larger group.
I'm sure changes will be made though.

Since when?
Definetly not before the update.
