k, i do know now.
My Steam account would get temporarily suspended and therefore unable to trade, send or receive gifts, and unable to purchase for 9 weeks, i think.
I do.
Ok then don't do it? How you gonna' get your money back now?
I have not so much money to purchase things from steam everyday, i just find this unjust and i want this game removed from my library, and of course i want my money back in my pocket, so if i find a way to do the chargeback i'll do it.
Rust does not have a workshop....... Rust has never agreed to let people mod their game..... And why would they make you download a program to run the game? Plus you bought a early access game. And! No refunds :P
I have not so much money to purchase things from steam everyday, i just find this unjust and i want this game removed from my library, and of course i want my money back in my pocket, so if i find a way to do the chargeback i'll do it.
If you find it so unjust, then it's as just as not using Steam in the first place.
For example for the fact that if i can't run it there's no sense on having it, just an example.
For example for the fact that if i can't run it there's no sense on having it, just an example.
That's a risk you have to take when buying a game that's early access. There's a big fat warning saying the game's not finished, and there's an alpha banner in the corner of the screen in game. You were warned.
For example for the fact that if i can't run it there's no sense on having it, just an example.
You should try to look for system requirements before buying any game.
Sad thing i didn't buy the game for myself but for a friend. And where the hell can i purchase a non steam copy of the game if all servers are vac protected?
Anyway Steam is part of my life since 2008, but what the heck, not Steam's fault you can't use something, neither developers, neither Yours, can't ask my OS to get a refund for that :/
For example for the fact that if i can't run it there's no sense on having it, just an example.
I still don't understand why you are posting? We've told you we cannot unban you, and we all know you are a scumbag cheater, what can you possibly do at this point other than make yourself look like an even bigger schmuck in the process
For example for the fact that if i can't run it there's no sense on having it, just an example.
Do you read often by the way? Not reading is usually why people fall into such easy traps.

VAC bans you through your SteamID so you cannot evade a ban once it falls.
And seeing this, you got VAC banned by buying a game for a friend?
Sad thing i didn't buy the game for myself but for a friend. And where the hell can i purchase a non steam copy of the game if all servers are vac protected?

You can make a new account and buy it. There are no non-steam versions at all.

You bought the game for friend but then played it and got banned on it??
I'm so confused by you, your posts are all over the place and self contradicting. Can't ask your OS for a refund for Rust because Rust is early access? WTF are you talking about?

If you bought it for a friend then why get it vac banned by using cheats? Or as you put it "Not cheats, but a program that comes with the game"
Yes, I was warned, but i expect the game itself to not run properly, not an external exe which actually sends screenshots and stuff to FP and does nothing for the game itself.
Yes,acekiller, i did, and I have a little monster here, 2x8GB Corsair Vengeange, 2 TB HDD, Nvidia GTX650 Ti Boost, Intel Core i5 E3300 (Sadly that's what slows my pc tho), anyway, i bet requirements are good, got a conflict with something inside the system, maybe something i use for other programs, but that's what happened to me.
No cheats there.
My friends was angry at me for doing that, but without it we had to wait for (x)time, not proud of it, pretty stupid, but what's done cannot be undone right?

Just be honest with us, not like we can punish any further than what Valve has already done to you, you are telling us a story that wasn't so well thought out, especially what you said just a few mins ago.
Sad thing i didn't buy the game for myself but for a friend.
You got VAC Banned according to the title, yet you bought it for a friend instead, did he play on your account or what not? If so it's your fault anyway.
Regardless of who was using your account at the time it was banned, the use and security of your Steam account is your responsibility.
External EXE?? sending screens to FP? Am i missing something here? Seriously what are you talking about?
As far as system specs go, the game is still unoptimized, your rig could run BF4 at 4K at a gazillion FPS but still run like dick for Rust because it's not optimized... because it's early access and unfinished.
I'm honest.. Dude, if i wasn't honest, why did i open twice the same ticket to ensure if i could do something about that?
It's sad, but.. That's the truth, believe it or not.
I didn't even try to delete something, in that folder.
Since the bypass worked, i could delete maybe the backup of the default file, but i didn't, check the images if you didn't see them.
My friend stopped playing with me at all, since Rust was the only game we could play together, joined another clan and now he's an annoying guy like the ones that just worry about projectiles left..
[editline]28th April 2014[/editline]
Yes, EasyAntiCheat sends screenshots to Facepunch if something doesn't go well, it's used to detect things like graphic mods, aimbots, etcetera, and i had to disable it because shit happened while loading the game, anyway, i read this in some place i don't remember.
Now i'm not lying, and neither i did in the beginning, neither in the middle, just ALL the truth.

Insanity, nobody I know opens the same ticket twice in hopes of a new result, it was in the ToS and FAQs ever since you agreed to it, and it's out of your hands now.
And EasyAntiCheat is not known to be active right now, and the thread is about VAC.
Yes, i got VAC Banned, for using an extenal tool that is potentially dangerous with other external s**t, but not dangerous itself, that's what i thought while installing it.
People come here on a annual basis claiming things ranging from "my little brother got into my Steam account and used hacks on just Rust" to "lightening struck my power lines just as I was about to loot a base, when the power came back, I was somehow VAC banned". Most of the regulars here are less than trusting because so far every single person who has come here claiming innocence was found to have actually done something to warrant their ban.
If it really was a mistake, Valve would have unblocked your account. Contrary to what you might believe they aren't like Activision or EA, where they'll send a hit squad to remove you from existence rather than tarnish themselves by acknowledging a mistake. Apparently it wasn't a mistake though.
Continuing to argue or prove your innocence will not accomplish anything. Facepunch Studios CANNOT revoke a VAC ban or help get your account unfrozen in any way.
And to answer your question from earlier: If I was in your situation, I sure as hell wouldn't go picking fights with forum regulars because I'm innocent. Would only make me look worse, especially after being told that only Valve can help me.

Nope, you're thinking about Cheatpunch. As I already said, EAC isn't even turned on in Rust yet.
So not only are you obviously lying but you don't even know what you're lying about.

So you knew the whole time, and now you complain about it here? Leave.
I hoped at least in a human response, not a botlike one.
Which is what the support forgets most of the time.
Always that schedule, always.
"Sorry, we can't answer you anymore" That's what you get when you ask them to be human.
Does it seem just?

You admitted to using an external tool, when the FAQ Valve put out warned you
Use only trusted machines to play on VAC-Secured servers - if you are not sure whether or not the machine you are using to connect to Steam may have cheats installed, do not play on VAC-Secured servers.
USE CAUTION WHEN INSTALLING ANY GAME MODIFICATIONS, such as scripts or custom skins. Only download custom content from trusted sources. Hackers sometimes maliciously disguise their cheats to cause others to get banned.
You need to read more.
That is my human response
I don't know why people even bother
there is literally 0% of a chance facepunch, let alone garry can or will unban vac banned users
go to valve, that's literally all there is to it. Besides, you said yourself you used an external tool, obviously it used injections and that's why your here.
The info I posted should have been enough to convince you but you still don't listen.
So why are you here?
Yes, i admitted it, but it's that bad if it works?
My intentions weren't bad, i wouldn't ruin nobody experience, i didn't want to hack too, but seems like nobody experienced that impotence sensation when something goes wrong, in that support.
Maybe my habits were with Riot Support, which is human even with a schedule, and at least it tries to help you with that sound human, but does it sound human when you put your pc specs on a ticket and then they answer you asking for pc specs? Guess not.
That's what's so bad with support.
That's what's unjust with VAC.
That's what sucks on Steam.
Feels like nobody is human except your friends.
VAC is just a program that scans your computer and searches for files onto a db, and it bans you, sad thing it doesn't know why you did that.
Even if i go to Valve, nobody will help me to get something out of this problem, cause nobody is really interested there.
Nobody choses to be a supporter there.
I'll do if i could have a chance.
Cause I like to stay with people and try to be helpful.
Being quick will not be a part of my job, but i'll try to understand people. I'd rather risk my job for a person who encountered an error, than keeping my job and see that a person wastes money for it.
What happens if you purchase Galactic Civ III and you get banned? That game costs 92.99€, you know.

So you think Valve should be more "humane" and unban people who manage to come up with creative stories about why they were wrongly VAC banned?
Nope. Then no one would be banned!

It's not a matter of subjective morality man. You can claim up and down that you didn't intend to ruin anyone's time, but that's not what the rules are and why they're there. The rules are that you can't inject any files of any type, regardless of their function or intent, into the Rust DLL's or EXE's. This is why VAC's system is just and does work, because it's an impartial data recieving referee in a game of impartial data scanning rule-keeping. Follow the rules, don't get banned. Simple as that. Break the rules with, "good intentions," you still broke the rules. You still get banned. That's just. You don't make the rules. Valve and FP do.
