I cannot even begin to state how incredible stupid it is to yet again to guide people how to do the dupe. - Send the steps to Helk, Pat or Garry and leave it alone untill they fix it. By now a lot of servers will be needing a wipe because of this. I know it's an alpha, but seriously, come on. All the kids in this game atm can't handle a dupe, they will spasm if they get kevlar set times 2. Trolling the maturity of the game aside, please don't do steps on dupe to the public, send it to the devs and do not exploit it. And well, here we go again....
For the Future i got one kindly advice for you , before calling other People stupid , better think twice. Apparently you aren't even smart enough to get the whole point of this thread. Which is funny because if you would have read my whole Post , you should be able to get it , like (almost) everybody else did. I wont repeat myself , just read the whole Post. But hey , everybody has its own opinion. this is yours , so its ok.

The funny thing is i was writing with alot of People today about the Rust Alpha , that bug , their experience with Rust , their experience in total etc. A few people seems keep to forget that they didnt bought a "final" game yet. Some somehow didnt even really know that this Game is currently in an Alpha state, or what the meaning of Alpha stands for. This is an Alpha and everybody who participated in Alpha's before know's the procedure of an Alpha , its not always fun. Those who are interested.., might for example take a look at those links , or google the needed information by themselves : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_game_development http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_release#Alpha
Thank you Serium, we want wipe our Server after the bug has been fixed. _________________ Best regards, CyPh3R
I hope the wipe comes ASAP. Not only for the bug, but it gives new players more chances of survival

OP's post is probably the single best post in this entire subforum [editline]18th November 2013[/editline]
_________________ Best regards, CyPh3R
please don't do that
@ Serium thank you for posting i love server wipes and i love when people find this stuff out and dont use it for duping. To the people that dont like this post becoz of server wipes TO BAD ITS IN ALPHA. this is wat alpha is all about finding bugs reporting them and then we all get a to start over and find some more bugs then start over and so on. To all them that report bugs and issus ill say a BIG thanks helps the game in the long run.
hy Derpan <3 This cant be dude. My BIOS is up to date and the temperature on CPU is 60-65°C and on the Graphic Card 70-72°C. So this looks really normal for me and i got this temperature on other games too and no crashes ever ^^.
60 Celsius is way too hot and 70-72 is borderline dangerous. seriously, that's running way too hot. It should be around 30-40 C
I know a way to stop this way of duping on private hosted server untill they fixes it. If an admin is online go to the console. There is a timeout for clients if they are unresponsive, default is 2 mins. Just type in server.clienttimeout <int> and change it to something like 5 seconds more or less. It prevents so the player stays ingame and could join again so he is duped. I tried it myself this way of duping needs more than 5 seconds until he would rejoin!
Serium, what server are you playing? Looks like dupe is fixed already on UK server. When you type "net.reconnect" or choose you server from server list, it first check if you still on server and if you on it server put you sleep and don't connect you first time, then you need type "net.reconnect" second time if you whant yo connect)) so, it's looks like kind of security check for dupe. p.s. if you want try to check it beware of angry kids who try to report you and say many interesting things about you))
60 Celsius is way too hot and 70-72 is borderline dangerous. seriously, that's running way too hot. It should be around 30-40 C
Sry dude but this is totally wrong. The highly tetemperatur a graphic card kernel can handle is 110°C. So normaly on high end cards if u dont have a water cooling system it will depens on most of the games between 60-70°C. Also the 60°C on the CPU is really normal for an i7. Hope you noticed that i am not writing the idle values. So if i do nothing it is like CPU 35° GPU 31°

It really comes down to what card you have! We're talking GPU not CPU. My card can handle 80c easy, but my card is manufactured that way to be able to sustain high temperature. It varies from card to card so you can't answer it that "generally".
