I think different mods or scenarios would be ideal for this game. I would be a great idea to have vikings or some other themed event in a modded server and just that theme alone. It would be cool to have swords, bows/crossbows, axes, catapults, and other mid-evil weapons. With the new rock build, this could easily be implemented to allow castles and other buildings to be build. Another thing would be to make players increase in accuracy to skill in someway, maybe through levels? The last thing would be to control lag and wipes. If the codes could be fixed to support 500 people on a server and have no lag would be ideal. (Ex: ESO, can support hundreds at a time). The wipes are killing my interest and have caused many to leave. It takes away the fun when you have to rebuild every two weeks because your server is being wiped.
Rust will have dinosaurs and werewolves.
Rust isn't getting dinosaurs. A post from Garry a while ago stated as much. Of course I'm not sure where it is now, but I'll try to find it.

Found it:
Yeah this goes without saying. We're not letting the community dictate what we do. We're feeling them out about stuff. The actual reason for that poll wasn't for them to decide whether military or dinosaurs should get added. It was to feel people out about something else on the list.
Customizable user interface would be nice custom hair face skin colour gender etc.
Bump
I want a cut-throat survival experience. Where you have to look out for many factors like what's the calorie outtake to hunt something and what calorie intake the prey will give you then.
And thirst should be the no.1 priority. If you are very dehydrated, you will have a massive weapon sway, blurry vision, can't run and are all around feeling miserable. And you, as a player, should really feel it.
You may survive for a couple of ingame weeks without food, but you'll get weak as fuck, thin like a sharp pencils line, simply really unhealthy and so on...
I also want a unforgiving environment. You should feel, at first, really fucking happy to see another person.
I may be expecting way, way too much but that's what I always wanted to play.
Horses would be a nice touch, fences to keep them in or tame the wild ones.
