The only exception to the no refund policy is in the uncommon occasion that the game is falsely advertised. Like when From Dust was advertised as not having Ubisoft DRM or when WarZ/Infestation Stories was first put on Steam before Early Access was a thing and was missing 90% of the promised features.
So many of you people are so unnecessarily hostile. I'd understand if instead of asking the question politely if he'd instead starting spewing vile and hate about this game demanding a refund, which he did not.
yeah it was my bad :) mistakes happen! Well i will try to enjoy the game, maybe if i play with a few friends it might be more fun! Again thanks all of you!
Valve is an American company, and thus, under American law, which does not allow it, all European laws aside. Also your first link goes nowhere.
this is not true! the law where you live and bought is in charge! every company is under the law of the country where they are selling their products. otherwise they wouldnt be allowed to offer their products just an example: facebook has different terms and conditions in europe than they have in the states where they are located. they have to follow the countries laws. sorry but thats a fact thats also why steam cannot ban you for activating a product using a vpn (cheap russian game keys), at least not in europe!

I haven't read deep into the ToS of Steam, so I don't know if it is covered.
Just wanted to register to say aahahhaha there is really a guy on this forum with the name "weedhitler" I mean I've heard that name as a joke before but really lmfao
I wanted to know if i get a refund of Rust, i dont really like the game, i thought it was something different... I just wanted to know if its possible to get a refund...? Thx in advance for the help.
Yes, OP should have done his research before buying the game but that's no reason to attack him or make wild assumptions. Is it possible to get a refund? Probably not. Chargebacks can get your steam account banned and is generally not advisable. OP: Exactly what aspect of the game don't you like? You should be aware that the game is still currently under development and will go through many changes and have added features further into development as well. If your problem is getting killed constantly which deters many new players, there are many PVE (Non-PVP) servers you can play on as well as many that mix PVE with PVP events limited to certain areas/times/etc. There are also servers with economy mods that allow you to buy/sell items and give you bonuses for killing zombies/animals/etc. if you're turned off by the grind. If you're just having trouble getting into the game, I would suggest checking out the wiki, reading a guide or two or just asking questions. http://playrustwiki.com/wiki/Beginners_Guide
Refunds for any product are generally not granted for dislike of the product unless you are a long term customer, but that doesn't really apply to online purchases. They generally have to be faulty and in the case of games and software they have to be very faulty because it is of the nature of software to have a few bugs here and there.
Usually only for software sales. Those are usually NOT refundable. But other products are refundable and you can get your money back. Computer parts or other physical items etc,...
ask gabe newell for a refund im sure he will give you your money back :tinfoil:
