Yeah sounds like you guys are naturally jerks but need some sort of excuse to justify it. I am all for revenge or horseplay but it sounds like you turn that into greifing. I find it more fun to play with people rather than make their existence so bad they leave a server.
To be honest, those crying because they get killed are way more boring than those who do such jokes and instakill everyone.
The game is a survival, which means you fight for food, for resources, for everything in the map.
You need to SURVIVE, the challenge is what makes it more exciting.

I would not have placed his shit for him, would have kept a gun out, dropped the supplies and said, "Go make your base." That was your mistake, letting him know you had valuables and then focusing on something other than him, so instead of becoming a murdering psychopath exacting his revenge on potentially innocent players, just play smarter.
I don't KOS but I don't turn my back on people either, I expect everyone to kill me except those I'm on Skype with. Don't succumb to the KOS darkside or you'll only create more dark, brooding murderers.

Not everybody is an asshole in this game, most are true but some are also prone to alliances and mutual help. My mate and I were helped and our base excluded from raids by the strongest group on the server because of our behavior. Yeah, those guys were all 18+, I agree that when you hear a "girl" voice on chat it may be preferable to shoot on sight. In the end it's all a matter of maturity I think.
i hope one day... we can all sit around a campfire and sing songs...

this game is a murder/robbery simulator, cause theres no enviromental threat at the moment.
so why play as a victim and try to be friendly with people that play the game hows meant to be played?

every naked has no worth, to let them live.
1)he could have guns and backstab me.
2)he could be a spy/scout, trying to trashtalk us and distract us.
3)he could have mats cause he was harvesting.
4)he has nothing BUT he is naked and WILL harvest some nodes that i need.
so in every case, its the best way to kill nakeds.
period.

My introduction to this game has been on a "friendly" PvP server. This can be very frustrating because firing on nakeds is against the rules. "Unless they have ranged weapon equipped." This rule essentially allows nakeds to murder me unexpectedly and gangs to jump me at a moment's notice. It seems I cannot win on such a server.
PvE seems boring. PvP is beyond frustrating. The only thing I can think of now is to hit up some friends and band together... Too bad none of my friends play rust, and I cannot trust strangers. Don't get me wrong, I [B]really[/B] want to like this game. It's addicting and fun. I just wish I could find a way to play that didn't leave me overly bored or frustrated.
I've had some nice encounters, including a man who rock'd down my door, stole my shotgun and everything (Kept respawning near by base until I ran out of ammo) who later said he felt bad and gave it back to me, after using it to acquire full kevlar and a few guns.
I've never lost anything when I've run into a naked man though. If I'm building outside my base I have nothing on me except limited building supplies, so it's no big loss if some guy runs up behind me with a pipe shotgun.
It's easy enough to respawn, grab a bolt action as he's looting my body and shoot him through the window.
As for building such a base, just get enough shit to make a small 1x1 with a metal door and get enough resources for the first level of your new base. Build it as fast as possible, I always make 3x3 secure stilt bases, 9 metal doors per level and build them up constantly until the server resets. I've never had one raided, they always blow through a few doors, enter the internal maze and give up.
I've made countless friends by giving rad armor and enough building supplies for a 1x1 with metal door to naked dudes. It's fun to see their reaction sometimes, I usually just run up to them, drop the shit and scream into the mic "GO FORTH AND KICK YE SOME ASS" as I run off.

If you take the 1st quote, and work on changing the 2nd quote. Reality can once more return to you. That's why I drink during these games, so its just like a night at the bar with an overly weighted female that I want to pretend was a dream.
I have some strict rules when it comes to dealing with other players.
#1: They have to be unarmed. If I see you with ANY type of weapon, with the exception of a rock, I'm killing you on sight. But if you are unarmed, or only have a rock out I won't kill you.
#2: They have to keep distance. Even if you are unarmed, if you come within 10 feet of me I'm blowing your brains out.
#3: They have to be naked. If you've got any kind of armor on, that means you have something useful on you. So even if you are unarmed and 20 feet away, I'm killing you.
#4: You have to speak with a mic. Even if you're typing in chat, if you don't speak immediately with a mic you're dead.
So, you have to be unarmed, at least 10 feet away, have no armor on, and immediately speak with a mic. Otherwise I'm killing you on sight.
I feel this is a perfectly fair and reasonable way to deal with other players.
