Nice exploits OP and lol @ anyone trying to defend the pillar/barricade exploit.
You are telling me that was an intended game design? Give me a break lol.

This is why you build wide instead of up. However had he pillared up fully, he would of been fine and this wouldn't of been possible. The problem is most people hit bases prior to the pillars being finished.

That's common knowledge. Doesn't change the fact that it is an exploit.
The problem is how expensive it is to defend against barricade and pillar tactic. Building 2 wide foundations all around your base with pillars in every possible spot, which costs thousands of wood for even medium sized bases just to defend against a very cheap tactic sucks.
so with the mods on this server he can suicide go to his sleeping bag and then /home 1 (teleport) back to his base as much as he wants with all that loot? wow stupid mod! but yes that base has a ton of stuff in it.

True, hence my first comment. Build wide not up, problem solved until this gets fixed.

well the problem is much more complex than this. first of all, even if you save yourself from filthy pillar barricade (which can be achieved with one row of foundations+pillars and random foundations around it denying further foundation placement), people can just skip all your floors by blowing up one side wall and building a barricade at the edge.
to make that harder you can place spike walls and other stuff but it would only delay the ineviteable.
so yeah. the real problem is: how can you even raid bases at all when you wont be able to climb up at the side of a building with barricades etc?
HOW? once this technique is removed, ANY base 5+ floors will be unraidable, because you have to start at the bottom and will have to use WAY too much c4 for it to have any gain.
my prediction is that in the end there wont be any indestructible building parts like now. its not easy to balance out tho, thats for sure.
@OP
noone would call that unraidable.. placing pillars that badly just asks for a raid :) anyway there is a very easily abusable mechanic on that server you are on, it involves one of the plugins, and it basically renders bases like this useless.
If everyone has the ability to use this "exploit" its not really and exploit, rather an easier way to enter the base.
