You can build the ceiling and them put the pillar after the ceiling is in it's place. If you go to the server I done mine you can check it.
Omg stupid Dutch auto-correction :p
Hey AeroJohn that's a real strategy. But there is a way to cover that in my Light version, I too all the walls away in the first level and put some Pillars, this way you really can't put the door way with wooden door to jump!
maubedo, add me on steam. I'll take a look at your house to see, in order to help you make your house more secure. My name is AeroJohn on steam. [editline]3rd January 2014[/editline]
This makes no sense.. If you replace a wall of the 3rd floor of are you ging to get up these without a wall below it? And hoe are you gonna place the c4 on the 3rd floor in the first place? Ok so you destroy the large storage box, place a sleeping bag there and suïcide. So how are you going to blow up the next door without c4?
same way you get things up there. You use his large storage boxes to transfer your items to the box and and suicide spawn up there. Then get the stuff out the boxes. Of course, this will only work if the guy is offline, but almost all raids are when the other player is offline anyway.
you have to be able to build ceilings, which means you have to have no middle pillars. The wall doesn't have to be on the bottom floor. It can also be done with the second wall first. At the moment, you are only two stories high. Which is the maximum you can go up because then u won't be able to put stuff in the box. So the highest it can be is how u have it right now. So there is no way to make it unraidable and be able to move stuff up. You can also just place a sleeping bag right now, where u put your large storage boxes if someone destroys them. And transfer their stuff in that box and move from there. Sorry man, there is no way to make it unraidable. I have tried the last two months trying.
After the walls on the first 2 floors are taken out, and the middle pillers are places (they are placeable, i placed a few already, not sure what ur ranting about center pillars) then the base is 100% secure. End of story. Or show us how to get in.
Alright I figured out how to make it 100% secure. If anyone wants me to make a video, I will, but need a server to spawn me some resources for the video. If someone wants to let me use their server let me know, but this took 8+ hours to make Even though my base was raided, I am back in it, and can fix it, just need 15 c4 to fix it.
I could help you with that, all you need to, is build in a remote location on the map, if that is ok, PM me if you are interested. BTW. the server is a PvE so no one will be bothering you while you build ;)

Aerojohn I added you!
You just said you will destroy the box to be able to place the sleeping bag. So in which box are you gonna transfer your stuff?
place one right next to it.
place one right next to it.
where are you gonna place it if I place sleeping bags on every possible spot and block it off from grenades? [editline]3rd January 2014[/editline] If he places a doorway + metal door on the ceiling where the large storage box is to transfer his stuff in. He could place a chest in the doorway and still close the door. Can anyone test for me if it's possible to place c4 on the door or doorway? Also, if the above doesn't work. If he places a pillar in the middle instead, can you still place a sleepbag? Can anyone test this for me?
i would like to know this as well, to place a doorway there or pillar in the middle if with a pillar there a sleeping bag could be placed that would be bad, but if with a doorway that could be c4ed they could still place after
Don't you think the doorway would be too high to be C4'ed ?
That's what I hope :p. If that is true the house is 100% unraidable
if you jump from the barricade you might reach it?
Maybe, that's why I'm not sure. But I think(hope) the range of placing c4 is too short.
Reading your design I came up with a possible solution to make it even harder to raid. A middle empty room used as lift, with a pilar in the middle to avoid ceilings and stairs. On the top a door to exit your safe floor, and in that middle room, lets call it "lift", boxes on each floor to use as a stair but placed somehow you can only use it to go down and no up. So what you do is place the things in the first box accessible by jumping, then respawn and go down to that box, pick the items and jump to place them in the second box and repeat the process to put everything in the top floor. Thing is that first box could be destroyed so a good idea would be to place, on each floor, 4 doorways with its doors so in case the box is destroyed you can place a new one. The process could be a pain in the ass but can make it a really safe base. If you have metal structures you can make a 3x1 tower changing stairs from one side to the other and foundations around to avoid stairs. If you make it right, a 10 storey would mean 2 doors per floor = 20 doors = 40 c4s. And being made of metal make it hard to grief but not ungriefable.
I feel like people aren't even reading the thread before they post at least half the time now...
Yeah, to get the secure room higher from the floor, you could maybe put an intermediate box on a central pillar at level 3. And up the secure room to lvl 4. Process would be : - fill the box at lvl 2 with loot - suicide - from secure room, jump on pillar/box at lvl 3 then jum on pillar/box at lvl 2 - loot the lvl2 box - put loot in lvl 3 box - suicide - from secure room, jum on lvl 3 boot, loot it to lvl 4 box - suicide and transfer to secured box Of course thats just a first draft, that probably opens many new grief possibilities, with high building cost and transfer time, but you get the idea ;)
I'd like to know how you got your sleeping bag up there if it's impossible to get up? I don't know if stairs are destroyable, maybe I'm just missing something. But nevertheless, nice work.

how much c4 do you need to destory stairs?
hatchet will do :) you dont need c4
1 maybe 2 ? it doesn't even take long with a hatchet
Look at that shadows!
oh lol wtf didn't even know that ;P thanks
I made a smaller version of kuchache's base. Its a bit quicker to make and better on the resources but its half the size. It is still raidproof as far as I know. The base is also grenade proof as doorways are placed to block off entrances. The doorways don't actually stop you from placing additional large storage boxes.. well they do but you can place them so that it just barely sticks out the doorway and you can still access them after opening the door. A word of warning when building this base: Place a workbench and lots of wood in your base. If the storage box gets destroyed, you can never place a new one down if you don't have the supplies to build another one. Luckily the doorways has a large hitbox and shields most if not all of the damage the storage box would take. See the video to see just how bulletproof the storage box is. I had forgot to place a workbench in my base so if someone destroyed the large storage box I placed earlier I had no means of placing a new one. Sorry for the darkness after the 1m30s mark... I don't know why it came out so dark in the video. It isn't nearly as dark ingame but that might be because I have my gamma turned up a bit. I will probably make another video showing how to make it... in a brighter setting too.
Does anyone know if there is a current way to boost high enough to put C4 on the doorway/wall? I'm about to build this base but 8x8. The outer perimeter will just be walls with 4 doorways on each side so that I have protection while transferring stuff inside my base.

As long as you pillar up everything there is no way to plant c4 on your base. The highest you will ever be able to reach is the top of the 2nd floor with c4, the highest you can loot is from the bottom of the 3rd floor. You can loot while jumping but not place c4 while jumping.
Yeah they could just build up to your roof and grab them through it. 8/10 for effort. EDIT: Triple stack, barricade, blow out the second floor, place a new barricade move up and so on. ggwp barricade olympics op.
I could carry with me a foundation, 8 pillars, 4 stairs, and c4 and drop into your house from the roof.
