Skregg bans ONLY happen if there is a detectable cheat installed on your system. That's the sole requirement. It actually detected files on your system used to cheat in Rust. Go read the VAC FAQ I posted on page 1. If you're legit, rest assured there will be scores of other players showing up very soon to claim their bans were unfounded as well. I'm guessing we won't see that. Unless thousands start showing up claiming bans your ban will NEVER be lifted and you should move on, regardless if you actually cheated or not. Thems the breaks pal.

I'm reminded of one kid who came on looking for a way to unban from VAC (there is none) because, so the story went at least, that he hacked on his dad's Steam account and got dad banned from Rust less than two weeks after he bought the game to start with. Might've been lying and just trying to gain sympathy for his own ban, but it doesn't actually matter because an unban for admitted hacking is [B]not[/B] happening.

Even if it was your kid your account still used hacks so your account still deserves the ban.

I am a games programmer with Unity experience, and people with the intelligence to create hacks, know that trying to lie your way out of a ban will never work.

I bet he somehow downloaded some malware and it installed the cheats in question to get him banned from Rust. The best "denial of service" attack you could ever think of. Causing false VAC bans! Duh duh duh!

I don't see why Valve would tell you the exact reasoning of your ban anyways, it'd basically be telling you how they caught you.
