• Report Griefers here

Yeh this guy called Garry Jewman or something like that is speedhacking in the game.
I think you guys are missing the point here, you speak as if this is about banditry and murder. This is about players who make the game unplayable for others and also result in breaking the game, thus generating a not-so-fun experience and not-so-productive play test.
In my opinion, griefers are more considered anybody who bends exploits or hacks just to make everyone else's experience less enjoyable. People who just kill you and take your shit, sure it's annoying but they're just playing the game as bandits. They aren't speed hacking or wall glitching or anything.
then u got 2 options quit the game or if you can't beat them, join them!
There's also a third option: Report them and keep truckin' on in spite of their idiocy.
that isn't an option whatsoever because reporting them will do nothing because you're reporting someone for pvping in a pvp game
that isn't an option whatsoever because reporting them will do nothing because you're reporting someone for pvping in a pvp game
I don't remember this thread being the thread for reporting people who pvp in Rust. Are you even reading everything here?
the only way someone can be "griefing" (which is a really silly term anyway) is if they're hacking, but you're only talking about people that have killed you or fucked with your stuff, which is completely fair play
Why don't you all bundle this hatred into supporting the suggestion of a 'buddy system' ? If you're not on the friends list you can't, lets say, build within two 'spaces' of someone else placed piece. From that moment on your Griefing buddies won't be able to barricade your house up or build ladders to the windows (which should be covered anyway). From there a system could be suggested that when you get up close to a piece of wall it will show the name of the player who built it; Allowing easy reporting and tracking of the guys for proof.
A report griefers thread created by a hacker. What has the world come to. :suicide: [editline]29th June 2013[/editline]
Why don't you all bundle this hatred into supporting the suggestion of a 'buddy system' ? Griefing isn't stealing your items from your chest or taking over your house. That's a way to play the game. The guy who created the thread was just mad that someone stole his shit and killed him a buncha times but that's just what the game is. A buddy system like this would just ruin it.
A report griefers thread created by a hacker. What has the world come to. :suicide:
I don't hack. But you're free to think whatever you'd like, I won't oppress you for it.
Isn't the point of the alpha to find glitches and bugs?
Isn't the point of the alpha to find glitches and bugs?
Generally, but it usually leads to an unproductive playtest if those glitches are massively gamebreaking and easily replicable. I see an easy fix for boarding up people's homes, just make a minimum build distance that only certain blocks can be placed, so someone can't (unrealistically) board up your front door, but can easily do something like building a ladder up.

They should implement something exactly like that, say, you can't build within 1 tile of another player's foundation. Is that a crappy idea?
I don't hack. But you're free to think whatever you'd like, I won't oppress you for it.
I think the good thing is that he isn't hacking currently.
This game is not a representation of real life.
ya last time i checked theirs not a post apocalyptic world outside …*as im typing this raiders a searching for supplies and going through a wood pile outside*

POLE dancing. :suicide:
A player by the name ofLamar has been griefing the server a bunch of us play on. He blows down your walls and plants pillars everywhere so you can't replace the building. He's also been blamed of aimbotting since we got on, and he's friends of the server admins so no one will remove him from the game. Beware of Lamar.
iNE <3 is a little a pain so watch out.
In case nobody told you....This is a survival game... If you have wood or anything that can help someone else survive, you'll be killed..God you people act like babies, perhaps you need to go play wow.
HOLY THREAD REVIVAL BATMAN! This sounds like such a care bear thread it sickens me
Mega thread necrophelia here. This argument always proceeds as follows, 100% of the time: player who just got shot: "omg there's a griefer / hacker / abusive admin / jerk / etc on this server!" Everybody else on the whole planet: "so find another server" player who just got shot: "no i have a right to be on this server and blah blah butthurt blah blah"
In the game of Rust, a griefer is very identical to a minge in Garry's mod. The aim of these griefers are not to KOS, but to fuck your shit up, your stuff up, your house up, and everything you have... up. Such as building barricades in front of your doors or a platform to reach an exposed window and climb through, or just generally block everything in your home that seems like an exit to the griefer. One such person that's said griefer is Lubatchi, another player on Rust. He has put barricades in front of my doors and also used them to climb over my unfinished ceiling and into my house and has also put doors in front of my own windows. Every time I mow him down with my M4, he always comes back for more, giving me a fear of him climbing into my house and taking all I have to offer. All I'm saying is to watch out for this player and to not give him help in any way. I could not film/take any pictures these events for it was the heat of the moment for me and I've stayed on for very little. Please watch out for Lubatchi and other griefers and if you do, point them out.
Well it's the way the game is played :) I grief people who in my oppinion pose a threat to my house or to my resours gathering process. It's absolutely normal.
I grief other raiders. It's kind of my thing. Lock them in their house with metal doors, trap them in pits, surround their houses with spike walls, destroy all of their loot that I don't need. I also grief people who refuse to open their doors for me to pillage through their belongings. It's frustrating when they make me waste my C4. I also run around the map killing people and giving their kevlar/guns to naked people. It's all in good fun. Bases are blown once you get raided anyways... There's no sense in staying in the same spot once people know where you live.
I would like to report a guy whose in game name was chad playing on the US east server (large). sat out side my house and repeated killing me for no reason for over 40 minutes. He had already stolen all my stuff and at that point there was no other reason to keep trying to kill me.
