I started playing similar survival games with a few of my family members. Then one of them mentioned this game. After looking it up I immediately fell in love. We all play games together to keep in touch as we all are members of the military and are lucky to see each other once a year. We always talked about playing a game that was a mix between dayz and minecraft and how much fun it would be. I am currently on a tight budget since i am getting out of the military due to injuries (non-combat) I watch the auctions every day and have a price thresh hold it must go under before i will buy it and almost every day they keys sell out about a minute before it hits that point. I would love to get into this game as it not only looks fun but is a way to keep in touch with family.

Well, this is my entry..and I sure hope it lands me a key, since I so badly want to play this game, but everyone on the auction seems to have endless amounts of cash.
Thanks for the competition, and opportunity. :D

You need to upload the image to an image host (like Imgur or Photobucket) then copy the direct link and put that in the [img] tags.

The level of art on this forum is very impressive, especially 4thChambers pic in this thread i love it defiantly deserves a key, sadly i couldn't even draw a picture in paint so i will have to go on the chance of generosity and hope to receive a nice email on the tenth, if not oh well its not that big of a deal and i will buy this at some point when its released on steam.
Thanks!

Have you seen my fucking paint drawing?
Would love to get my hands on one of those keys. I can't draw so guess I'll have to go for one of the other 6. And though not a picture I thought I'd throw some more creativity into the thread for fun. I want in on Rust because:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been there since back when it first began to even matter. One ragged breath after another. Making it. That's just what I do. That instinct is always there.
In the earliest days, the instinct was strong and each day, each moment, was measured by its intensity. I took my food from the earth and from the beasts. Some days the wild would try to impose its own desires upon me, to take the sinew from my bone and the breath from my chest. But I survived. Through cleverness or viciousness, I always survived. Every day would end with a pile of stripped bones, and they were never mine.
As time passed I learned a few things. Figured out how to use the earth to my advantage. Once I had mastered the seed, life became less challenging and rarely had I need to pit my mortality against the beasts of the wild purely for sustenance. But the instinct remained strong because hardship was still in abundance. The fear of tooth and claw had diminished only to be replaced with the dread of disease and drought. Every day ended with torn hands and immense exhaustion but I ate, and I slept. And I awoke.
More time passed and I became too clever. I had mastered the earth so thoroughly that I was never in want of food. I could dedicate a mere portion of myself to working the earth, freeing the rest of me to build wondrous, if meaningless, things. I half forgot what it meant to be hungry or cold. My biggest fear was myself and the instinct dulled from disuse. Rusted like so many of the wonderful things I had created. But I lived and it was glorious living. Every day ended with laughter, and naivete.
The Event changed that. Suddenly I was weak again. Most of me had forgotten all of the old laws, how to struggle, how to sustain. Real fear had returned and it was everywhere. My right hand fought my left for every scrap. I am my greatest enemy. But my weaknesses have begun to die away now. I see their corpses scattered everywhere. With the fear came strength and the instinct, rusted from neglect, is being honed every day. Still there. Was always there. Its nature is my nature: to be there. The only guarantees left are the ones I hack from the world around me. Every day ends...but I do not.
Man
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
P.S. Also, I will be using Rust as a Survival Training Simulator for my 4 year old. Don't let her go unprepared into an Event please!

Isn't that like using Burnout to teach people how to drive?

Well this is a bit awkward, I just realised that I missed the humor in your post.

Hahaha!! No problems, we're all here for fun right? Actually letting my daughter watch me play a game where the people are murdering each other for their spoils is a bit over the top.

Here is my attempt at using Photoshop.
I have just discovered this game, so calm down at what I have...

[IMG]http://puu.sh/4HtVC.png[/IMG]
The image is from 2009. This is an old image and was not made for Rust.
I would go through even more images, but this whole copying/reposting thing is just going to start all over again.
It's really not fair to re-post art that was already made - even if you made it month(s) ago for Rust.[/QUOTE]
I don't see how it's any different to if i didn't enter it in the original contest? I didn't win the the original contest, i drew the picture, i don't see how it's "unfair". Is it unfair cause i didn't waste my time drawing another picture when i already had one drawn for the same purpose?
Heres a little "LIFE OF A NEWBIE" Drawing HOPE I WIN :D

Why do people really expect they are going to win this with a 5-minute MS Paint drawing or by stealing other people's drawings
I would like to enter.
Why do I.want a rust key?
I would like to join a community of fellow minded player I would like to help build forts, get into wildwest shoot outs, and to have a great time playing with others. Thank you for reading this.

I dunno, I don't even find them funny. I think it is just a entry as a "Random pick"
Here is my "sad" attempt to be funny...

But hay what can I say crap has happen to me in other games so this would be my luck.
Im just trying for a key do to my bad past with PayPal (I said stop charging and thy heard "Charge more?"). I can't wait any longer for the game to hit steam so... help me SemiProJoe you're my only hope!
Good evening Everyone.
As you can see and tell, I am as new as new a member can be. I am very unsure on how I stumbled upon this Topic, but I did. I am not much of an artist, but I really wanted to give it a go for the key and even if my entry won't be winner worthy, I will cry only a tiny bit.
I will tell a tiny bit about this sketch. I don't know the game in detail, as I have no access to it, but I think that too much hatred is spreading between the naked caveman and sheep.
And so this is a young lamb going to repay for his families slaughter. Eye for an Eye.
