Multiplayer doesn't mean you have to play in a group - it means there are multiple players in the game at once. Like an MMO, lots of people, but of course you can play by yourself.
Rust is much easier to play on a team or group, but actually a huge percent of players play by themselves. They had a poll and 60% of people responded saying they play Rust alone.
Rust legacy was a great experience as a solo player, so we know this is possible. The worst thing Facepunch could do is make Rust suck for solo players, and be only good if you play in a team. If they remake Rust so it's now bad for solo players, then IMO they have failed miserably. Especially since 50% of Rust players have been playing alone.
The most population I've played in was about 200. I never had a problem finding barrels. Sure, radtowns are often controlled by a clan. But there are plenty of roads that are not occupied with barrels and rubbish boxes galore.
Don't spend 20 minutes online and expect to have every BP.

i think the new system if fine, but they could had an option to upgrade the research bench, at a cost, to have more then 30% of successful rate in finding the blueprint for the item. but in the other hand, i think that the % should never be more then 50%. i know it sucks, but it balances the game.

the acutal bp system isnt that bad, but here's what sucks: i wanted to research high external stone wall and put 500 frags into the research machine and still only had 63% chance for a bp
that sucked...tried 3 times...lost 1500 frags for shit!!!
A tech tree is a good idea, i prefer building and defense and whats the point of finding 5 attack rifles bps and after finally researching your needed bp and spending 2000 frags you find the same bp in a fucking barrel!?
