Ok, so there are a lot of questions being asked again and again and its flooding the forums and getting on people nerves so I thought it was about time someone did this. So the idea for this to work is that anyone can submit a question below and the community will answer it and anyone can submit an answer and I will just edit the first post and update it. Also if something is incorrect or should be reworded please post and I'll try and do so. Also any mods please feel free to keep this updated. Note: I'll try and keep up updated but any mod should be able to add, edit or remove from it also. Rust is a MMO game made by Devs Pat and Helk. Rust is a Unity based engine game and it is run in a web browser. Alpha is an early game development stage where the developers have testers testing the game to test it and receive data on improving and fixing elements within the game. There is no crafting table or work bench. Press tab to bring up your inventory and you'll see a crafting list to the right of your inventory box. If the list isn't there, click crafting at the top of the screen to show / hide the list. What are sleeping bags for? When you die, you will re spawn wherever you placed your sleeping bag. You need 20 cloth to craft 1 bag. How do I add weapon attachments to my gun without my gun being consumed? This seems to be a bug at the moment which will hopefully be fixed soon. Put the gun on your numbered quick bar at the bottom, now place the attachment in a storage box and drag it from there to your gun instead of dragging it from your inventory How do I report a bug? For integrated GFX its an issue that has yet to be fixed (as of June 2013). For AMD Radeon 6770, users have reported rolling back drivers helped. Every time I play the game is it normal I have to download all the stuff for it each time? Is there a way to save it on my computer? No, not at the moment. (I think it was a caching problem or something along those lines, will update answer later) My computer and connection are slow and downloading the game each time is a pain, is there anything I can do to help that? Some people have reported that changing from Google Chrome to Mozilla Firefox helped, try that. I forgot the pass for my account. Is there anyway to get it back or does accounts from that time even work? At the moment you cannot change your password or recover it, when this feature is added I will update the answer Will there be any sort of modes? (sandbox/creative/etc) Not at the moment, as it stands the game is the way is it. =========================== ========= In-Game FAQ ========= =========================== Someone posted something like this but was not updating it so thought it was a good idea. How many hits does an axe take to break a wooden door with full health? 120 hits aprox. How many hits does a pickaxe take to break a wooden door with full health? 56 hits. Do bluebrints you've learned stay with you when you die? Yes, they last forever (until the server is wiped, this is an Alpha after all). Difference between a pickaxe and a hatchet? Pickaxe gathers resources much faster with the exception of harvesting animals and does 2x damage with slightly more range (slower hits). Can you destroy other peoples sleepingbags? Yes, in under 20 hits. What Happens when you place multiple sleepingbags in the world? You will spawn at the last sleeping bag you placed. Your old sleepingbag is NOT removed and if your latest one is destroyed you go back to the one before until you run out. How many F1 Nades does it take to destroy a metal door? No idea sorry Why are you using the web player? Quick iteration, quick deployment, portable, accessible. Do you have to pay for Rust to get in the alpha? Yes. [url]http://www.playrust.com/buy/[/url] As an Oculus Rift owner...I can only dream of this being compatible I don't think there's any possible way we can make the Unity3d webplayer work with the rift.. :( Will Rust be free to people who are already in the Alpha or will there be a cost for everyone? People in the alpha will keep it does that mean the full game is going to cost >$20-30? Final price is unknown.

No correct there are no beta keys available because we are still using alpha keys..

Very informative and should provide a definite answer to those asking about getting into the Alpha testing. Sticky it.

Just a quick question, probably seems noobish and obvious. When the ability to acquire keys, whether luck of the draw, or whatever. Will it be announced through official channels?

The polish would be better like this "Jestem z Polski, czy istnieją informacje w moim języku?" On a less serious note, if you want to grab more attention you should add a highlightet "GRATIS WÓDKA" next to it

As one of the new people drawn here in the hopes to get my hands on rusts buggy alpha an flail about in the bugs like that dude from the mummy, i want to say thanks for the wiki an you tube links of the game also realy feel sorry for the normal members dealing with the BETA KEY NAO kiddys. anyway TO YOUTUBE UP UP AN AWAY!

Or just study the forum, see if there is anything you can contribute with. And ofc. wait. There will be a key to everyone eventually . I hope :)

Why isn't this stickied to the top? as much as I agree that it is annoying that people are asking for keys, things like this, official announcment, should be highlighted, there is no logic at all in roaming the forum posts looking for an answer, so as much as that is annoying, the mods share the heat.

What's the best way to improve performance, currently getting around 20fps, drops at night. Web browser effect it too?
