Why was the rust branch kept separate from the main server from the get-go? Guessing it was to test how sustainable it was by itself?

i hope so -.- there are ALOT of bug you guys should put back the backup from the before the wipe... and just do wipe to the inv and the houses but not the Blueprints.
i think it's good, that all players need the blueprints :D it makes more fun.

Garry, do you know how long the downtime will be and until it's up and running again? And thanks for the wipe its really good to clean up the map and start all over again so all the lonely wolves can play to :) And its really fun to start over again from scratch.

there is not any estimated time servers been back up but there was a couple of issues im sure garry and his team are working hard on to getting the servers back up and running with little of a few problems as possible.

It's a software development term and refers to a development process where multiple different versions of the code are being worked on simultaneously and kept separate. well... when i saw the game for first time i was like.. LOL LOOK AT THAT .. THE BEST GAME EVER... now im like LOL THE BEST (BEST) GAME EVER!!!....anyways.. i want only to ask because its very confusing (for me ) well i know(i know) ? the game is in alpha... but u can get a beta key ... so finally... is it beta or alpha ?

Everything should be working pretty much as expected now. Let me know in this thread if you have any problems. I added "/do suicide" - in case you get in any trouble.

E.g. by modifying the binary saves under %APPDATA%\Unity\WebPlayerPrefs ? I am mainly asking this because those of us with lower- and mid-spec systems haven't been able to play and test since the latest changes.
You can change the display settings using / and * on the numpad

I should be able to play in windowed mode now (alas for fullscreen I would need to reduce the resolution). Edit: Nevermind, found a quick and dirty workaround for the resolution settings. Just change your desktop resolution and the game should adapt in fullscreen mode.
How large is the world in Rust? I would like to know because i dont want that the world is something like flatgrass size!

I'd say a comparison to Gmod is pretty hard though. It's not as big as DayZ Map but also not too small. It's hard to epxlain. And it isn't too hard to solo there. I survived on my own for around 4-5 days there. (With sevral raid attempts.)
I noticed that pigs and players are not moving smoothly through the world, they are glitching across my path. Anyone else seeing this as it makes hitting a target VERY hard?
