I haven't really played Rust much lately but I am logging in as we speak. I got in when it was "use your own alpha key". If you have recently lost your account access, have you been sharing the account with anyone without them being right there at your place of residence using your computer and therefore maybe they did something ban/delete worthy? Maybe you did something that came up as suspicious. Maybe its some sort of cull against people who joined just for Rust.
All I know is that for now I can still access Rust and I haven't played in a few weeks.

I hope you guys at least have a sense of doubt about this... That is not a proper source. If 2 month inactive accounts were banned by default, it would only make sense to announce this through other means than steam chat.

It kind of does make sense that it wasn't specified in public.
If someone gets a key to test the game and they don't actually play it, their accounts should be deleted to make space for more players that are actually willing to test the game. If people knew that accounts get deleted after 2 months of not using them, some would just ditch the game, log on for 5 minutes before the second month starts, and repeat, only so they can get the game for free when it's in its best state.
Well, thats kinda stupid. My computer isnt exactly the greatest in terms of graphical power and Rust ran awfully on here, so I thought I'd just stop playing for a while till optimization came in.
Quite honestly, thats a really, really dumb thing, even with the alpha people get to have the full game for free when its released, I loved playing it back then. If it was to have been optimized in the near future I would've played the shit out of this, but I guess once again I've been fucked over due to not having a super PC.

Yeah, there's not a lot of good gaming laptops out there, except for Alienware which was built for gaming. Sucks that the cheapest is $2,000 which is crazy!

I only registered 57 days ago, and last time I played was about a month ago. So there's obviously more going on then just deletion due to inactivity.
