• Developement for server host

Honestly, you guys need to stop giving attention to the ddoser, just fucking wait. Garry stated that they didn't care about the hacking and ddos for now(changing the thread title of that 24th baddy). Whining like crazy here is only giving attention to the guy ddos the servers. When the game gets on steam it will probably have an anti-cheat(or maybe it will come later) and they will invest in ddos protection whenever they feel like doing so from now on the release of the game. There's not much you guys can do, if you can't wait for things to get fixed, then quit the game and come back in a few months. Please stop making 2000000000 threads about this, you are actually taking the dev off their job because they are actually reading the forum instead of developing the game(if you don't think so check the names of ppl reading, max/helk/pat are reading some of them pretty often). That said, I am too unhappy with the fact that the devs won't do anything but we won't change their mind so stop fucking talking about it everywhere and talk about the actual game or gtfo the forum. /rant done
It's funny to see people who've not seen a single packet log discussing about a solution.
It's funny to see people who've not seen a single packet log discussing about a solution.
Curious... people were asking for you to drop by the forums and comment. What is Ideal Hosting doing to combat the issue? I've not heard of that company at all... no offense. I know that hosts offer varying degrees of DDoS protection... some more than others. Is there something specific you do?
ISS (used to be WarZ) Almost lost it's entire paying playerbase due to rampant hacking and DDOS attacks. It took some time but they added private servers, they added punkbuster AND fairfight and I'm happy to report that hacking is ALMOST nonexistent and the DDOS attacks are gone in that game today... [editline]21st October 2013[/editline]
It's funny to see people who've not seen a single packet log discussing about a solution.
Of course we're going to discuss it. See, Charging people for Alpha or Beta or "Early" access is a new thing. Used to be your alpha and beta players got in free, but it was much harder to get a key. Now I am happy Dev's have started to use this approach, as it generates income for them to finish their game while allowing me access I otherwise would not have. SO, yes, I paid for it. I'm happy I did and I'd do it again. I have no issues with this new method, however the problems come for the Dev, who now instead of having a bunch of "Testers" have "Paying customers". A free tester will put up with much more discomfort and frustration than a paying customer will. So people are already invested in playing the game. Add the fact that they bought a ticket to ride and they're gonna discuss it a lot when the ride is broken. Now all this sucks, but this isn't the only game I own so I can occupy my time and I hope everything gets ironed out...
It's funny to see people who've not seen a single packet log discussing about a solution.
It's pretty funny to see such a server owner without that much experience .. except that your servers doesn't even got enough Ressources to run the server smooth with such amount of slots.. also comes aggravating with it that the rust server only runs on windows OS at the moment... PS: Have fun with that dream prices on playrust.eu .. you will find some idiots that buy it with that crappy hardware.. PSS: Now just report my post because of the truth. =)
Seems more like a re-seller than an actual data center. The website ideal-hosting has is very bare-bone almost as if it was a template.
