Weapon parts used to be crafted into weapons. It's from very early alpha.
There's also armour parts used to make kevlar n stuff, but those were extremely rare.
I still have both + my fully modded weapons.
It was mentioned somewhere that the weapon and armour parts are from an older build of Rust. Not sure, though.

He ran through, and killed my friend, I don't know where he got them from but he was a known bandit. Maybe he stole them off you guys, and now I have it?

Yeah I used to had a LOT of blueprints but I just threw them away since I already know how to make those items and I do not want to waste space on my inv :V
