Snipers, or anything with long ranged scopes would completely ruin the game. It will turn exactly into DayZ, in which you'll get sniped by someone no matter where you are. It would just increase senseless killing.
As for the attachments... like J!NX said, this isn't Call of Duty. Weapons in this game are supposed to be post-apocalyptic, pretty much handmade. High grade military upgrades and attachments completely ruin the setting and gameplay. The military weapons in this game might not even be in the final version.
This currently can't happen because of the draw range. I wish it was so though. (not the sniper rifle but being able to see people/buildings anywhere on the map no matter the distance)
Ah the old Mosin Nagant would be a good addition to the game, 2-3 shots for a kill 1 shot to the head, that way it wouldn't be op, but I don't know about when shooting against people wearing armor, how much shots should it take, any suggestions?

someone get this guy some estrogen to balance his testosterone.

Maybe if it was easy to detect where the sniper was shooting from I would agree. Like if you miss a shot or fail to Kill on hit, you'd be exposed. This would encourage people to use snipers as a supportive unit and not a solo unit.
Having a sniper on the team is something Im looking forward to. Not looking forward to a sniper team.
Why I agree with the scoped sniper idea, is because it adds to the anxiety these games produce. The feeling of never being safe makes the game very interesting.

The rifle I simply posted a picture of (A WW2 Mosin Nagant) and any real rifle that could be suggested would haveto have muzzle flash, and a decent amount even at a good distance.
Ok, people are saying no to snipers because it is too advanced. There is a plane that flies over the map and garry is adding helicopters, but magnifying lenses between some plastic on a rifle is too advanced.
Amazing logic.
Lets also add cars but the wheels should be wooden as not to disturb the nature of the game.
You see it anyways with "Nerf people who KOS" your no scopes rule is blatantly retarded along with your post of the schematics of a .50 caliber rifle, so far it's been either a jerry-rigged hunting rifle or an old world war 2 sniper rifle... your "no scopes" is defended with an overly exagerated 600% increase. Makes just as much sense as nerfing KOS. People QQ'd about fall damage too but they got usedto it, same well happen with a hunting rifle or single shot rifle for that matter.

Right their is your Mosin Nagant Russian Sniper rifle scope sight, most of you kids wouldn't even be able to calibrate or judge it's distance correctly let alone snipe effectively without practice and knowledge, it's a game of survival adapt or die.
Didn't read any other replies past yours. But you do realize there is no bullet drop in the game, right?
Goddamnit guys. They are adding a Hunting rifle. Does anyone even follow the Trello?
I really don't like seeing your posts, they always follow with a heavy amount of autism
