Ah right, well yeh.. i guess its a blessing in disguise then :). And i've been through the same thing, such a shame a lot of the players do not have patience and understand the effort being put into the mod and that it wont always be perfect.
HFB hasn't updated since 1.0.2...
HFB just made v1.1.3 available!!!
Hooray!!!
Hi guys just looking for a heads up on this before I install Magma 1.1.3 I am using Streamline Servers.
So my ? is when I uninstall Magma 1.0.2 do the plugins that I have installed stay in there directories or do they also get deleted?
Thank for any info and thanks to the dev team for there efforts in getting things sorted so quickly. ;)
Ok I have updated to Magma 1.1.3 And so far all is good and this is how it happened
I stoped server and backed up full server and map/player data.
There was no option to uninstall 1.0.2 so just installed 1.1.3 ( which is called 1.13 lol)
All folder were still there. Started server and says running 1.1.3
Shutdown server and edited cfg and updated a few plugin files
Started server and all is good

This is getting a bit daft now... Still on 1.1.2 on deinserverhost
Since installing the new version of the magma framework v1.1.3 and the rust++ mod, my server does not populate into the main server lists, modded or community. I steam updated the server before the mod install and everything works fine, the server actually does populate into my history list. I have refreshed the lists numerous times and I still haven't been able to find my server in the lists. Has anyone else ran into this issue?
Deinserverhost has finally got 1.1.3 up. Shame Steam is down, though.
Hey EquiFox
Now, the plugin is finally released on deinserverhost and everything seems to be working :) Good job brah!
I have one more question, I googled but I couldnt find anything. Is there a little documentation on the new functions of 1.1? The changelog doesnt really help me... I want something like you did on Rust++:
------- General Commands --------
/help (Shows commands)
/history (Shows chat history, last 6 messages by default)
/players (Shows online players)
/location (Shows the coordinates of the player)
/ping (shows latency between client and server)
/starter (gives a configurable starter kit)
/about (shows server mod version)
/rules (shows server rules)
/motd (shows the message of the day)
------ Private Messaging --------
/pm "playername" "message" (private messages a player. MUST BE USED IN QUOTES)
/r message here (quick reply to last PM)
------ Friend System ----------
/friends (shows your friends list)
/addfriend playername (adds a player to your friends list)
/unfriend playername (removes a friend)
------ Door Sharing ------------
/share playername (shares your doors with a player) - no more quotes!
/unshare playername (unshares your doors with a player) - no more quotes
and so on... I dont know what happened to the /record on function or the PVE zones... any descriptions? thanks!
We are currently experiencing some difficulties on our website, we will keep you updated.
No pvp/pve zones and no recording....fox said they needed to polish it up a bit.
On another note: Does anybody know how to have recorded logs of in game chat with magma? Oxide did this automatically and I was able to look back at events when needed.....today I have some players complaining about a new group, when I went to find the logs to investigate I found nothing. I really need the server/magma to record chat activity and dont know how to go about doing it. There is no plugin that I am aware of that does this. I cant run rusty 24/7 on my pc, and thats my only alternative that I can think of right now.

Well the log is in the output_log file too. But I guess we could add some logging functions.

Ok so whats the difference between 1.0.2 and 1.1.3? Team said "Its not going to be 1.0.3 because there are some new functions, thats why its 1.1!"
So what are the new functions then?
Well the log is in the output_log file too. But I guess we could add some logging functions.
Im not seeing this output_log file. I searched every folder of the server (fpsplayers). The Logs folder was empty. Using TcAdmin I clicked on View Logs hoping that would be it, it cam up with a log, but only of player connection type stuff, nothing related to chat.

I dont know man, Im just the messenger. Im not that worried about it, it'll happen soon I'm sure. If you like seeing previews of upcoming features I wouldnt bitch about them not being released right when you want them.
Magma is a framework we added a lot or features to the API so developpers have access to more stuff tout create plugins for you guys.
So nobody can tell me where to find the output_log file? I can't believe nobody else cares about activity logs.
Its in the rust_server_data folder on your FTP.
Alright Magma has been updated to 1.1.4 to match the new Rust patch. Please visit our forums for more information and be sure to read the changelog.

...did you try the Rust website?

Hey
On my server when someone chats its always in "quote char"... Is it only me? Is it because of the new Magma?
Do you have any plugins playing with the chat ?
It may be a little bug though, I will check it when I get back home to fix it. Sorry about that.

Nope, only Magma (rust++ and drop++) installed... Well it doesn't affect gameplay its only for beautiness :)
The thing is I saved the whole Rust++ folder and overwrote every single file in there.... is it maybe because of this?

Hi, I just discovered this mod and I have a question about plugins
Is there a plugins where I can add zone notification when I am in a certain zone ?
it could be usefull to know when we are in a PVP zone.
Thanks in advance.
It seems Magma allows a very big game breaking bug. I play on a server that runs Magma and discovered this bug by accident. I posted a report on the Rust forum for game bugs and tested it on a few official servers. Someone who commented on my post said they could not replicate the problem on their vanilla server. So maybe it is just a problem with Magma if so I thought you should know and here I am now letting you know what the issue is if you don't already know about it.
My original post on the Rust forum for bugs.
"After going through several servers my friend through steam and I found a server that we can actually survive on without being constantly shot in the face while naked. The server we play on runs Magma so I do not know if this issue is exclusive to that or if it is a global issue (Pretty sure it will be global). I have not tested this issue on any other server as of yet. If this issue is global I imagine it will be fixed. As I do not know if the bug has been reported I felt it was necessary to ensure it was because it is pretty significant.
The Bug.....
So I noticed as I mined some resources that if my inventory became full a message would pop up declaring I can not harvest anymore because my inventory was full. So after miss hitting it a couple times I checked my inventory and dumped out some junk so I could finish harvesting the resource. Once I made some space free I continued hitting the resource and on the first strike it gave me like triple what it would on a normal hit. At first I thought it was just giving me the resources from my miss clicks on the source but the source only went down the normal amount. I later decided to push it further. I un-stacked an item in my inventory and left enough room for 3 slots. I began harvesting a rock and got metal ore, sulfur ore, and rocks. I then dropped the sulfur ore, un-stacked an item to fill my inventory then began hitting the rock again. Every hit it came up with the message that my inventory was full. I continued hitting the rock for about a half in game day. I then went into my inventory and stacked up all of the item I had un-stacked to fill my inventory. I then hit the rock once more and got over 1000 sulfur ore from that one resource.
This is a fairly major problem that effects rock ores, wood piles as well as animal harvesting. As long as your inventory does not have the resource you are harvesting in it and as long as your inventory is full every hit adds onto the source to what it will give you. It is as if the inventory being full does not register properly with the fact you are not supposed to get the resource when you hit the source. This bug removes any need to actually play the game, explore and gather resources. You can get un-limited resources from one single source. Hopefully this is patched in future updates as people will be able to craft massive amounts of C4, as well as extremely large structures with little effort."
Video I made to demonstrate the bug. (Sorry for the choppy sound in the beginning)

Magma has been updated to 1.1.5 to fix the exploit reported by Shmugle. The Quotes in chat has also been fixed and a new Plugin logger feature (Plugin.Log) has been added. Make sure to read the changelog. This is a small update, because I felt like it was needed to avoid abuse. Stay tuned though, I am working on a lot of new stuff :)
