What part of "an old account" do you not understand? What part of "years ago" was ambiguous to you? Is it impossible, in your mind, that this could have been when VAC was initially launched, perhaps when it had bugs, too?
The account I have now, which you can easily look up via my name here, is years and years old, so that implies that my old account must have been much older than that, right?
Noooo, never, it couldn't be! I must be lying!

Maybe you shouldn't have put VAC ban in the first place. You should have made your own anti-cheat, not VAC ban to where players can not play. Plus it effects people. If you look at someones profile and it says VAC ban on their profile, you automatically know that they are hackers. I really wonder if Steam is VAC banning people on purpose.
Internal per-server kick/ban measures do not hook into VAC in any way. VAC bans for EXTERNAL cheats.
Then how are these people getting VAC banned after being teleported by an admin?
i downloaded some hacks off the internet but they said undetected, so i dont see why i was banned
shit man now that's fucked up, we'll try and get that sorted for you right away
Jesus;43481720']The server has a "truth" option that admins can enable/disable. For about a month, people have been getting immediately kicked after being teleported because this "truth" option is checking for suspicious activity in player actions and notices that they went from point A to point B faster than sprinting would allow. The server flags them for speed hacking and kicks them and reports to VAC that they're hacking. The server's suspicious activity check (this "truth" option) isn't smart enough to filter out admin-initiated teleports. It's flagging players who have been teleported, kicking them, and VAC banning them.
That's not at all how vac works
you literally have no idea what you're even saying. You're working purely on the assumption that you know everything.

stop acting like you know exactly what's going on here already. we don't need people trying to start dumb rumors when we don't know what the cause of this is yet. The devs are gonna look into it so be patient.
Jesus;43481752']Then how are these people getting VAC banned after being teleported by an admin?
Nobody has actually pinpointed that as the cause yet, seeing as others have claimed to be banned after falling through the map. The devs are looking into it (or will when it's not 3:30AM anyway), they'll find out what could be causing this. Anyone banned due to it will be unbanned, the VAC records are quite good for that.

VERY strange indeed.
First off, it's not "our own shitty system", it's VAC, a time-tested method. Second, no need to insult us, it's not gonna make things any better.
We are going to look into it, rest assured, if there was a wave of false positives it WILL be solved very soon, but in the meantime I do find it fishy that so many new accounts registered to talk about this. (this is something a hack author told his clients to do, a few weeks ago)
I am pretty new to the game i purchased it through steam about 2-3 weeks ago to play with my relatives. We have had a blast, and even been raided by no-clippers a couple of times, and even kept playing! That's how much we love this game. I am sad that i am banned and can't play anymore, and the reason for me having a new profile on the website is that i have never visited this site before i purchased the game. The only reason i made a profile was to make this thread and inform that i was banned. I also sent a ticket off to your help staff. And keep on making the new updates, i LOVE the new pistol! Too bad i cant use it now :(

Thanks for this will wait
Jesus;43481752']Then how are these people getting VAC banned after being teleported by an admin?
They aren't. VAC bans are typically done in waves, a while after they are first detected. There was probably some program that was causing a false positive with this. I don't know why you think it's related to teleporting.
Your logic basically means: My friend was opening a door, then he got VAC banned. WHY DOES OPENING DOORS = VAC BAN WTF??
I also got VAC Banned for no reason, I never hacked at all! I just enjoyed the game and such.
Bugs, glitches, and exploits have nothing to do with VAC. VAC bans you for external cheats, trainers etc., stuff that modifies the game's code.
External cheats that take advantage of in game bugs and exploits..ie; opening doors, looting through walls.. Hell, you didn't need to alter any code to get inside of rocks, you could do that without any hack...What does that tell you..
There are no appeals to VAC, if there are false positives causing bans, then they will unban everyone who was falsely banned, and keep the others banned.
But then we'll never know who is really a plain-belly player or a star-bellied sneetch (cheater).
Guys, I can say with confidence it is not due to falling through the world. Like I said earlier, I have fallen through the world and been teleported by admins (and kicked for it, mind you,) and my account is just as pristine as it was three years ago. Either I fell through the cracks (doubtful,) or something else is going on.
Would any of these Admin tools being released cause a ban? Some look like duping tools and so on. If the admin tool was client side and they where producing items or teleporting, wouldn't that trigger a ban Admin. Ive played 8 hours today and haven't had any issues even after falling through the map other than dieing.

That is true, but some reason bugs "SOMEHOW" made most of the player VAC banned. Now is there something behind this or what? I just want to play Rust.
It is the height. My friend sent me this as Rust. after six minutes was banned. I went on a Server ([BR] Brazucas) gave suicide when I went back was already banned.

Wrong. You're not reading the thread. The "truth" check is a server option that admins can enable or disable. When it's enabled, it's currently kicking anyone who gets teleported because it thinks the teleported player just speed hacked to get from point A to point B. That kicked player, many of them as you can read on these forums, are getting VAC banned.
Coincidence? Seriously?
This
No litterally, I really want to play Rust. How am I going to play when I'm banned from all servers?
I already sent a Support Ticket to Steam But I don't even know if they are going to accept the fact that I wasn't cheating.

you mean like the link of steam saying EXACTLY what vac is and does? or whenever anyone attempts to tell you what vac does?

Actually AFAIK we fixed this in a recent patch, where teleporting someone grants you two seconds of assumed truth
VAC bans are triggered by having a file hooked into your game. Whether this mean injected or external, it can be detected one way or another.
VAC bans are NOT manual and ONLY ban for a suspected cheat. VAC bans that have been false positives are very rare. It is impossible to be banned for glitches/griefing/suspicious behavior. I will say this once again;
VAC only bans when it detects something hooked to the game. Whether it's external or injected, it can be detected. VAC doesn't detect programs that do not hook onto your games. If you've been VAC banned by malicious files/an unauthorized visit to your account, that is your fault and you should be held responsible for downloading carelessly/not keeping your account secure.
tl;dr
you're a hacking fuckface
Edit: Sometimes there are games that have 2nd methods to ban people so players that use exploits/undetected cheats are put on cooldown/banned. Take for example CS:GO with it's Overwatch system. VAC doesn't deal with exploits.

I'm going to bed, there's no point in arguing with you. You're wrong, good day.
VAC is 100% automated. All it does is check your games memory and matches it with the one in their database. For example, let's say the line of code for the in game clock is 0x001, but you are using a speed hack and the value is 0x002 then VAC notices somehow your games memory has been changed. This does not happen accidentally. They then put a flag on your account and when the next wave of bans occur you will be included. The game itself cannot issue VAC bans. In fact, no one can. False positive teleport warnings are the anti-cheat built into the game and cannot issue a VAC ban to anyone.

VAC doesn't really work by doing logic checks of the game, that'd be too hard to verbosely code for. They check for memory behaving weird (which is why they used to ban for faulty RAM in the early days.)
False positives are extremely rare, and they don't happen this way. I wish the mods would just delete this crap.
edit: Zombie man70 beat me by 20 seconds.
Hang on, what about those modded extensions people were writing for Rust? Could those be causing it? Could playing on a modded server do it? I don't know the inner workings of VAC or anything, but a friend of mine was banned, and he played frequently on modded servers.
There's only one thing I can think of that could have possibly triggered a false positive (it's a security measure we took to make hacks a lot, lot harder to make), but it was published in tonight's patch, and VAC bans usually take days to roll out...
