There is one thing that i really dis-like about the game is the houses. When you are inside the your house or base at night you can't see anything because its to dark. And to see int he house you have to use campfires flashlights on guns, or furnaces to see around. So why not make a Lantern or lamp
1. Lantern/lamp - Have it be placeable on top of crates and workbenches at emit a dim glow just bright enough too see in your house, but not soo bright so everyone can see where your house is in the night.

However your aim would have to suffer because of using one handed pistol.

The bear trap should be visible but only for ppl that are not moving
Be able to melt down metal items to craft into something else. If you find a metal wall and do not need it, you should be able to melt it down to make something else out of it.

i do realize that many people want it to be modern, and they will probably keep it modern (M4, C4 etc.) but i personally think historic eras should be expanded, and modern reduced or possibly even eliminated (it's in every other game already imo). In my experience, the sniper/long range gun is always the death of any survival game, as the game eventually devolves into CoD snipers only and all other game content is completely ignored.
But I digress, just a thought here.

The Ram is a pretty good idea. Although it is going to have to be pretty costly in wood
Know this probably won't be popular with so many wanting to turn this into counterstrike with construction, but i'm finding the first guns are way too easy to manufacture. I like having a gun in a game like this as much as anyone because it makes everything so much easier, but overall i recognize it's not good for the game if everyone is running around with guns a day or two after spawning, completely bypassing the melee or more basic weapons. This game's strength is the more hardcore survival stuff, not generic FPS gunplay.
Maybe have some other more advanced machine required on top of the simple and easy to build furnace, to form the metal fragments into something. And at least a press to make bullets.

I feel like they will add that in once they get electricity to work, that way you need a lathe to make guns.
Honestly haven't read the entire thread, but if an idea is repeated, it just makes it more popular.
- Let all stackables go up to 250 (especially arrows)
- "Take all" button when looting
- some kind of quiver/ammo system instead of taking an item spot
- Rare chance to learn a recipe while crafting something
-- Learning would be linear, like crafting cloth armor has a chance to learn leather armor. Impossible to randomly learn C4 unless you learned everything else, etc.
- Nerf speed (red) zombies just a tad bit (not fun being chased literally 3/4 of the map)
- Remove chance for blue crates to contain nothing (unless that's a bug)
- Change wood/stone spawn system into something more distributed, like 1% chance for a wood pile or stone to spawn near any tree every five minutes (plenty of trees for 1% to provide enough)

I didn't know about the plans for electricity, but that would make sense. Is there anywhere i can find a list of planned features?
Has there been any mention of plans to make the more modern-ish guns harder to find?
Also do you think they'd add the ability to craft like a brace or something to makes walls/doors harder to destroy?
Some overall balanced suggestions in the OP, though I think using animal fat or low grade fuel to repair the metal tools with the whetstone would make more sense than water...which would lead to rusty tools.
Nice list! But I'd like to be more vulnerable. How about:
- Randomly getting injured while crafting things like sharp blades and while handling stuff in the furnace. (Simluates accidents like cutting, burning. Robust, thick leather gloves may prevent that or lower the chance to get hurt). Also maybe ammo going off while crafting it. This could be linked with walking around while crafting/standing outside, in the cold while crafting/standing inside at a workbench while crafting. You just don't walk around, crafting ammo... or anything else. ;)
- Gather fur from animals. You can use this to craft carpets, as mentioned before. And you can use them to hang on your wall. This prevents light to shine out of wooden shacks. (Also usable for armor, maybe to get the "comfortable" status while wearing the armor?)
- How about extending fire? If the furnace is old and has been used quite a lot, make the fire jump over, to your house (fur-wallcarpets), burning down everything if you can't extinguish it quickly enough.
- There should be a chance to get hurt/injured while [U]running[/U] around barefoot. This would simulate stepping on a stone/stick/whatever. The better your shoes, the safer you can [U]run[/U].
- Different shoes should make different noise.
- Some more aggressive/dangerous animals:
(rattle)Snakes, bees, stuff like that. :D Random stampedes would also be nice. And if they're leading through populated areas, they're destroying/damaging the buildings)
- One very big point (imho) is stamina. The continous running is a very big thing, I think. We need various threats to our stamina (and an actual stamina bar, of course).
- Buildings should attract animals. Like bears looking for food. So do radtowns, if they stay. But those animals will be radiated and propably mutated and aggressive. It would be much harder to loot those towns. You have to worry about radiation (if it stays and becomes a real threat) and those beasts, looking for your tasty meat.
- You should get the injured status while fighting bears or other players in melee.
- Drugs and addiction. To boost you and to break you. Could add a nice scent to roleplaying (rituals, etc.).
- Wheelbarrow/carriage to transport more resources.
- Storms, earthquakes, volcanoes, etc. that really can f*ck your sh*t up!
- A (ongoing) set of different maps. Every server starts with a random map, picked from the set. Of course these maps will be uploaded to the internet, as it is now. But you'd have to find out what exactly map you're on so you'd have to navigate around, finding it out. This or a different map every time and the ability to draw your own map.
- People should get randomly sick/ill, catching a flew sometimes. And if you are living/eating like sh*t, you're feeling like sh*t. Means you're getting sick more often. Getting sick would last several days and contains less vomiting but continous low strenght and/or stamina/stamina drain, "extreme" weapon sway, etc.
