I Can't Gather Any Materials - Rust

As the title says, I am unable to get anything in the game. I can hit a rock, tree, log pile for 10 mins and not a single item gets into my inventory. I have uninstalled my browser, (firefox) tried 3 different browsers, uninstalled utility. At this point I am starting to get beyond frustrated with this game and am losing interest. If anyone could please help me, I would greatly appreciate them. Oh I should also note sometimes I think my character is invisible. I don't aggro zombies/animals some times. And my buddies can't see me. Many Thanks!

I've had this happen to me a few times but usually refreshing my game fixes it. :-/ Essentially you aren't really THERE, which is why no one can see you and you can't gather anything. I don't know how to fix it if you're constantly in that state. Did you submit a bug report? The devs might be able to fix it? P.S. Don't give up on the game!

That is not working either.=/ I have looked into the Bug Report right on the website but it looks like 3 other people have had the same issues and no one is helping. I know it's still alpha, but paying $30+ for the game to not work is a little disappointing. Ya know?

[/QUOTE] I'm not complaining that I spent $30+ and it isn't working. I just said it's disappointing. Like going out and buying a $50 dinner and it ending up burnt and nasty. It's not that is isn't ready for some people, It's just stupid how it works for some and not for others. It clearly has to be in the line of code somewhere.

I totally get the frustration if you stuck in that mode. I'd file a report anyway so they devs know it is a serious problem and can address it properly. According to garry we'll be switching to steam here in the next week or so and that should fix it for you at least. So hold out a bit longer and hopefully you'll enjoy playing so much it'll all be worth it ^^

This happened to me, just repetitively hit it, after like twenty hits or so it finally noticed I was hitting the rock, and then the bug didn't happen again. If you notice, you also don't lose hunger when hitting it, you only lose the normal amount of hunger (When using a rock, each hit makes you lose like an extra 1-10 hunger, I have no idea what the exact amount is though)
