Anything that makes players work together against an external threat. Dinosaurs sounds cool. What about wildfires that threaten players' houses?

why not, the Tarascan. This creature would be very difficult to see because it camouflages the decorating. That would be fun is that the players could sleep on it, and in their wake, the players would be a completely different place, because the Tarascan would move. Zombies are in every game to be. But they are also very ordinary ... just as seen in all games ... Imagine you're just out in the field with a couple of buddies farming and you hear the sound of eerie bird cries. Next minute a swarm of flesh eating birds surrounds your group diving in to peck at you dealing like 2 damage per hit and with a % chance of disease causing necrosis. Now here is the cool thing. In legacy, the torch is shit. Used for trolling or for new players who don't know how to change gamma to see through the night. We now again can make it useful. Taking your torch out will prevent the birds from diving in to attack you. So if you are stuck in a field and can't find cover, your torch flame can protect you until they pass on.

Ignoring the fact they'd just be exploited for farming, the AI for that would be such balls to do (putting walls around yourself and chucking things over to hit it, edging yourself just enough over a ledge to arch a shot but not get hit in return fire etc...) Dinos would be cool because dino-pee being utilized to either attract a certain type or scare others off Getting picked off/up by a pteradactyl? mid-fight? rofl Zombies is fine, a bit bland at this point especially if they're not in roaming hordes or mutant zombies... or not sound/sight influenced... Little bummed that Giants aren't a thing, so far as long as you have a gun you can take on the non-player world pretty easily

[U][B]Wolf/Light Feral[/B][/U] [B]Design[/B] – influenced by the red/RAD zombie in the game, it would wear a bloody cloth armor or parts of a RAD suit. Also, reflecting the RAD wolf, the feral would wear a Wolf plet. It could include wearing the head of the wolf to form a mask or hood. Perhaps some sort of tail? [B]Speed[/B] – Fastest of the Ferals. Can run as fast as a naked/fresh respawn player (to see my idea of player speed and equipment weight, see this thread). [B]Damage/Attack[/B] – Attacks with a stone hatchet, crude looking knife (like a scythe or sickle?), or perhaps a torch. Attack does little damage, a hit has a chance of causing poison, radiation build up or burn damage. [B]Health/Armor[/B] – Being the fastest, it is also the weakest of the three. Military is so stupid and how do you take out military with a hatchet? that's just stupid and not very "survival" feel this isn't battle field or call of duty. Monsters like tree monsters, maybe a t-rex, scary ass monsters that come out at night, now these are things that at DEPTH

Idea: Random military camps filled with hostile AI soldiers spawn around the map, each is a randomly generated, and there is good loot inside each one. Encourages exploration, instead of waiting for loot come back at preset spawns.

There needs to be something scary that wanders around at night with an ai focused on scaring the player even when they're in home. For example, military units could bust down your wooden doors or if they have a demolitions guy on hand they blow down your metal doors, but to balance this they'd only have a limited amount of explosives. Certain creatures could bend window bars and sneak in that way. Of course you would be able to reinforce all these to make them less prone to such attacks, but hell, I think this would make this game a lot scarier, challenging, and more fun.

That is, there is all the atmosphere of a true survival game! The Tikbalang: Is a demon philipinnes horse head in Rust it could be easily mistaken for a horse. Players could see at first to all fours and when a player gets too close to him, the tikbalang leaking, or if the group is Tikbalang they attack players! Players could looting, mane, leather, and maybe even with a very low% NPC baby Tikbalang, which attack the creatures targeted. Or creatures that attack the player. Obviously, it would give some of his food to the baby Tikbalang for 5 hours for it to become an adult. I would like to see riot people replacing the mutants. Then the drops from them would be more natural as well. In example a riot doctor dropping med-kits, construction worker dropping materials and so on. The models of them do not need to be different in shape or color. Civilian look. But perhaps different from other players. I see good ideas here all ready. But I do prefer the zombies over mutant animals at least. :)

In the exp. build I've seen that there was human flesh... how awesome would it be that if you cook and eat it you become a cannibal meaning you cannot live on anything else then other players. This effect stays even after death so you are bound to hunt players. This wil create interesting gameplay and gangplay imo

People can be cannibals if they want to, or simply can hunt animals, is their choice. As said in devblog15 this should not affect any status. Looks like dinosaurs wins. I don't see why not. Also get rid of the fully tact up guns. Make more guns like the pipe shotgun and such, it keeps the game balanced and in theme.
