• New Map (Can we Possibly get this on Trello?)

anyone else gets the feeling that game derails into a scam? garry already made the money with rust, there will be no more income, like monthly payments or microtransactions for visuell items. so why invest ressources, if there is no more to get? hope im wrongt, but in the last years, this has become the norm in indie gaming industrie.

Rust has sold a lot, but it can sell a lot more.

Rust has sold a lot, but it can sell a lot more.[/QUOTE] yeah true, but minecraft is a casual game that atracts alot of players. the % of people that are really into ffa hardcore full loot games is very low. there need alot to be done,but in my eyes rust has the basics to be the best game ever made, if it goes along the way minecraft did (manymany things to build to atract the casuals) but at the same time stays true to its hardcore/survival aspects.

At a guess, they are doing this to focus on the wilderness, constructable buildings, draw distance and having lots of players in the same location. There are performance challenges to having more types of object in your map.
