You do realize that server administrators and developers are two completely separate entities, right? Just because the servers are "official" does not mean that the actual developers are the ones administrating those boxes.
Common sense, take note.
listen all i want is, that this game gets big.. cause it defenitly has some really good ideas in it.
So if you get raped by a hacker, you could at least tell it to somebody that is actually on the server and could temp kick that guy.. if some other players can confirm

Why would a developer openly admit to VAC not being active? Especially after Garry has claimed otherwise. Answer: They wouldn't, it would be a PR nightmare.
You can easily tell if VAC is active yourself, it isn't rocket science, and I'm not going to waste my time teaching you how to accomplish that task. You can learn how to do it yourself.

if your playing on the official servers cool but communities is a different story that would require all the server owners to give unknown ppl they're servers admin controls which if i was a server owner i wouldnt give anyone access unless i know them personally cuz in all actuality your money is being use to maintain it and i wouldnt want my money being in the hands of others

The fact that it could take 3 months to...never would encourage people to hack anyway, so in all honesty that was a terrible post by Garry.
The best way to combat this at this very moment is to have 5-10 server admins for official servers popping in and out making sure the hackers are being removed and banned from Rust.

There's nothing to test, because people who were using cheat engine with vac activated ( according to Garry) few months back, are still freely playing the game..

On the original topic, the hacker problem needs to be addressed and immediately, not in 3 months to never because if that's how VAC works then it's pointless to even have at this point.
