I have no dog in this fight but I've been reading through the thread and trying to remain unbiased...
Quite honestly, to the server admins: stop trying to defend your actions. No matter what you do there will always be people who disagree with your policies. I had no problem banning players that were assholes when I had a server and quite a few of them took to the forums to flame me and my server as well... there's just no way around it. My real advice is to ignore this thread, let it die and fall by the wayside, every time you post in the thread more and more people see it and choose to not join your server.
To the players complaining: You did what you came here to do, which is to stop people from joining this server because of reason A and evidence B and blah blah blah. Why waste time flaming people on the forum when you could be playing the game that we all love so much and start rebuilding on another server?
I don't know who is in the right here since there's no solid evidence one way or another and both sides have people playing the asshole. I tend to lean in favor of the server admins since I've dealt with a similar situation myself but you lose some of that good reputation when you feed the flames with short-story length posts about this person being a narcissist and that person trolling and those people being assholes...
Anyways, just my two cents, I'm fully prepared for a slew of dumb ratings. :)

He's not an idiot racist, as I said (or a homophobe or a cheater). He might be those things, but I never personally witnessed it.

What he did do was disrupt the server and attempt to troll the server. You'll notice his own screenshot shows him doing this.

Ask yourself what kind of person makes a statement about "admin abuse" on the server, directed at the admins, as he states he did in his second post, then refuses to answer an admin asking him what he's talking about - you can see him ignoring me in his screenshot - then takes a screenshot of another admin TP'ing over to him and goes LOOK GUYS I GOT IRONCLAD PROOF I ADDRESSED AN ADMIN AND THEN IGNORED HIM AND THEN ONE TELEPORTED TO ME! ABUSE! DON'T PLAY ON THIS SERVER!

Let's get down to brass tacks, that ain't normal behavior.

Every admin and good player knows people like that are disruptive as hell. They're tantrum throwing, grandiose, entitled children. They get away with murder on servers that aren't actively administrated, driving away dozens of other players with their rage fits and tantrums. When a server turns out to be actively administrated, they flip the fuck out.

The bottom line is, we want to provide a good experience for our player base. Evesest is not the norm, he is the exception to that player base.

Having had discussions with a lot of our players, many are college educated, many are careered, and many are married. Many play with their wives. We have lawyers, (other) psychologists, marketing professionals, and IT professionals.

We also have many younger players that, at 33, I would feel utterly responsible for if I were to expose them to a player like Evesest or EXILE.

What we do not do is shell out money every month to run a charity daycare for people like Evesest and EXILE. We want players to know that our overarching rule is that people like them simply aren't welcome, whether that manifests in some form of discriminatory speech, exploitation or cheating, or just constant raging (which is the class Evesest falls under).

We want our players to have fun, to compete, to cooperate, and to play the game for all its weird alpha-stage goodness. Some players are, unfortunately, a cancer to that. The upside to this post (beyond the fact that its pretty side-splittingly funny watching Evesest try to drop Raw is War-era ringside faux tough-talk) is that we've had the chance to show other players exactly what kinds of people hate us, and how that reflects on us, which is a boon.

Fair response tbh. Trust me, I work nights so I'm waking up in order to respond at all. I'm just not fond of self righteous people who put themselves into a position of power and get a false sense of importance. A normal self respecting admin could've maturely responded and given a positive look on their server. Instead about 3-4 different immature kids with inflated egos came in making the same childish exclamations of "aboos" "idiot" etc. I'd be lying if I say it's not frustrating after hearing their real voices through Rust. Makes it harder to let it go when you know exactly what kind of person you're dealing with. (more personal)

That being said, I feel this was a necessary evil to inform people of the behavior. Whether they agree or not is their opinion and still proves valuable. There are many threads on the same subject. I did not post this without thinking it out. Only difference is those threads don't have the actual admins jumping in insulting people. I guess its actually pretty revealing in itself just by their activity in this thread alone and it really does line up with the many stories told in this thread.

It's revealing on both sides. Let it go and move to another server for cryin out loud. The fact that this much energy and thought was expended on something as inconsequential as a goddamn video game makes zero sense to me. If they want to be assholes, let them be. Rise above it and move on. I run a server and I don't address garbage or nonsense. I treat my business the exact same way. Negativity and bullshit don't concern me. It doesn't exist to me. And as a result, I'm a happier person.

You've made the decision to move on. So move on. Don't bother trashing anyone because all that will happen is this. A pissing contest. Nobody wins. Both parties lose because it becomes a text version of Jerry Springer.

No one knows you as near as we can tell. Beyond that most of us have people on our friends list who don't know much about us. I do remember banning someone three days ago with a similar name to yours but that person doesn't know, and isn't friended by any of us. I'm going to call bullshit on that statement too.
