EAC patched walking through walls cheat but are they going to ban the people that used it? - Rust

Basically this "hack" relies on modifying a resource file where it says prefab/walls to prefab/wal1s. If the scan for this particular string someone will change it to prefab/wa1ls instead ans circumvent it. If they just scan for spamming in console they could have a false positive if someone's file gets corrupted. It is easier to just run a checksum on it and kick the player if it fails the check rather than banning.

You have 2 sides, legit gamers and cheaters. He creates a weapon that gives the cheaters an advantage and sells it to them. Then runs back to the other side and tells them how the weapon he sold works. Really he's playing both sides here. Which I find rather shitty. Choose a side man. Either make cheats and be a part of that community, or work for the side that tries to stop them. You can't be in the middle with this, and no amount of defending what you did will really sway anybody to defend you. If you were banned from the entire internets I wouldn't care at all. But if you were actively trying to help stop cheaters in a more legitimate way I would miss you.

I would have recommended to just go read all that yourself, however, shortly after garry had posted that EAC was fixing this hack, he had removed all his posts on the thread and replaced them with "a". until the posts after me linking him to being the person who released the cheat.

actually i would like to point out something though, if he didnt release it then somebody else would have later on, i would be happy that this is fixed cause IMO this is worse than aimbotters and speedhacks
