ive never cheated and never been banned for cheating but I can understand its possible for a false positive to occur. Saying simply you cheated thats it is kindof simplifying a case too much. You gota recognize each individual as a person whos case you gota consider fairly when brought up. I dont think its impossible someone has been banned while not cheating by accident. saying lolnope you lose your account feelss kinda bm

"Recognizing each individual as a person" has nothing to do with a fully automated process. EDIT: I should clarify: one incident does not equal one person. I'm pretty sure thousands upon thousands of people got wrongly VAC banned from the same game at the same time. EDIT 2: I did more thorough research and there has been more than one issue but they're still few and far between and highly highly unlikely. Plus whenever there is a false-positive Valve is on it like...... something that gets onto something else quickly and with aplomb. :)

VAC isn't magic -- it looks for very specific things that only occur if someone is cheating. It doesn't get it wrong.
