video
Idk why post this video, i got like 1700hours in this game and i know how to control recoil with m4 and im pretty good with it lol. Same with many experienced players with even more hours than me said it was pure no recoil. Now go watch this video and if u cant really see difference between this controlled recoil and the clip i showed in my youtube movie u must buy new pair of glasses.
Just some background, I have 994 hours of rust time played. I know what I'm doing and know how the guns work. I do know there are times where recoil seems non existant. But this looks extremely iffy to me. If you had two screens next to each other, one of the video provided by trausi, and one of another player dragging the mouse downward, controlling the recoil as much as humanly possible, I think you would see a difference. There is almost no sway, and most of the time no recoil. Just my thoughts on this.

I don't even get why you had to add music like that to the video either, it seems so typical of youtube wannabe celebs. I'm not even trying to say he doesn't have anti-recoil, but surely you need to stop acting like that

You can test this for yourself and I can upload a video repeating this exact spray while showing my processes etc.

Whose to say that when you use no recoil, you don't also move your mouse up/down right/left? Your whole argument is based on a video where you can't see anything. Or that he moved. Watch the video in normal speed again. If you're being shot at, you don't stand still. He may have moved in a panic in weird directions, causing it to look like there was a move in direction in the shots. I could go on, but it's really not worth my time. Not saying you were hacking, not saying you were not. If you were, we'll see a VAC ban soon. If you were not, continue owning :) EDIT: After going back and reviewing my own Montage. I looked and saw a similar situation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJd2hUGyBK8 All footage of that video is of me. Might have to turn gamma up a bit (sorry) But check out 40 seconds. The 4 kills i got before that obviously had recoil, but on that last and final kill, sway and recoil were almost non existent. That explains the first kill, but doesn't say much about the second.

The video defending myself is all I can do given the situation. To assume that I intentionally moved my mouse to mask hacking is a massive leap that no one should make. Like I said that logic can incriminate literally any player in this game.

Maybe you did a little spraying and praying xD. Check out the edit I made to the post, as that says something too.

As for the second guy, that issue is already cleared because if you look closely I only hit him one time and the rest hit the windows/rocks
What issue does that even clear. Just because you failed and shot a wall means you don't hack?
What issue does that even clear. Just because you failed and shot a wall means you don't hack?
people were saying I hit him three times there in the same spot. I hit him once. It doesn't even remotely look like cheats, it's just me hitting a guy one time. You can speculate all you want and I have no problem with it, but all these maybe's and what "I could have done" bullshit theories possibly caused my twitch to get suspended and that's why I don't like it ^^
It wasnt lucky ,he had like two or more "sprays" like that in his highlight and rest shooting he tried control his recoil in legit way and it was so bad lol. @Grimmybear You recorded video with talking some no-sens bullshit, good job man, only unexperienced players will be "oh he is right" so good try dude, u used no recoil cheat and u was enabling/disabling it so it was more hard to catch you but you failed, get over it already.
the only thing im saying about this whole post is why make the video so short if theres so much more proof of it ? You keep saying "theres many more highlights blahblah proof blahblah"
looks fairly normal to me, fucking kids
Looks like good recoil control to me
We all know there are ways to dampen recoil artificially that don't involve modifying Steam files, thus allowing the player to say quite honestly "I'm not hacking". I'll mirror what several people have said: looks very fishy, no way to prove, no point waiting for a VAC ban either way.
LOL. this is definitely becoming a witch hunt. You are now claiming I was enabling and disabling no recoil during my highlight, which you can't prove in any way. If you had posted the rest of the video instead of picking 5 seconds of point blank recoil control, you could easily see I have recoil. Grow up buddy.
With his claim of you disabling and re-enabling the no recoil, which I fully support as in my personal opinion I think you are using no recoil, looking at separate clips which you claim to 'show you have recoil' only further backs up his statement that you were toggling to try and make yourself seem legit at certain stages of the clip. Sorry, but in my opinion which I am fully entitled to, you are hacking, apologies if you are not, but I think you are. I can know what recoil control looks like with an M4, I also know how to shoot one, and this just does not look right to me, but everyone has an opinion, right?
We actually made a script to avoid threads like this. It gathered the hit data, where the hit actually hit on the body, how fast between shots etc. Got rid of hacks pretty quickly.
It looks like there's recoil.
Two days ago I joined a server. I took my rock in hand and headed for the first rad bear I saw. I was not happy with my spawn and didn't fell like pressing F1 the typing "suicide" in the console, because death by bear is more fun! When I came up on Mr. Bear his bloodlust picked back up and he ran at me. To my surprise this bear and two wolves did not hit me. I was standing still and hitting them, but they could not fight back. Not for the first time; I silently asked myself "Am I hacking...?" then I remembered, Rust is in Early Access. what this means for those of you who aren't aware, is that there is funky stuff going on all over the place! I'm not saying that early access makes hacking okay, it doesn't. im saying that people need better facts before pulling out the "hacker" card on everyone who does something wild. When's the last time you joined a game and didn't see: "____ is a hacker" or something of the sort? Personally I see people calling out hackers way more than I have seen hackers. I know I'm not alone there. As far as this thread goes, it obviously looks convincing that GrimmyBear could be using NoRecoil hacks, or at least convincing to anyone who doesn't really know what those really look like. I'm not sure why a streamer would spend a whole stream playing legit just to use a hack for 5 seconds when he clearly has an upper hand already. He has walls and high ground. Only to then turn off said hacks when he goes to 2v1 them on otherwise level odds. This isn't the only reason I believe GrimmyBear's claim but probably the best reason. I also watch his stream on frequent occasion. I enjoy how the person who started this thread @trausi acts like he's worried about the quality of the game degrading due to hackers... then says that He's "on random twitch channel and guy Sprne" was saying that you cheat. Personally I wouldn't listen to a thing that any know hacker says about other people hacking, but I guess that's just me. Lastly: "Botting or hacking of online games: At Twitch, we work with the brilliant people who make all these wonderful video games to ensure that we, nor our community, are stepping on anyone's toes. That said, please respect their terms of service and their communities by not hacking, botting, or by cheating in their online games." this is what it says on the "Twitch Rules of Conduct" page at http://help.twitch.tv/customer/portal/articles/983016-twitch-rules-of-conduct so Why would someone who loves streaming, Is just beginning to grow on Twitch, and Constantly Streams on Twitch.tv decide to break the rules for 2 kills in an Early Release game? I suppose this isn't solid evidence to prove innocence on GrimmyBear's behalf, especially since stupid streamers do stupid things on stream all the time, but it's another thing that puts me on his side.
Once a cheater... Twice a cheater ;)
Has anyone else noticed that there are a lot of people creating accounts specifically to respond to this thread? i'm not saying that their opinion isn't worth anything, but there's clearly a motive behind it. Having watched the clip, i'd suggest that you're not hacking in any way, but it definitely is a very very grey area, but the more you go out of your way to defend yourself, the more it looks like you're trying to hide something. My suggestion, grimmybear, is to stop responding to this thread completely, wait for your twitch account suspension to be unlocked (and i believe you said your youtube was suspended as well?), then when the time is right, post the full video for all of us to see. your lack of response will likely just drop this to the bottom of the threads list and people will stop posting on here specifically to argue with you, you're just throwing more fuel into the fire whenever you respond, so just stop(unless you enjoy a good debate ofc)
I love how grimy puts an agree tag on each post defending him so hilarious :quagmire: and btw to proove you're not recoil hacking just make a video filming your screen FROM THE START OF YOUR COMPUTER and an ingame one to a server where you spray so accurately

I've played rust since the very first days of it being available and I can tell you from extensive experience the clips suspected of no recoil produce no recoil. The recoil in rust is too great to be able to be controlled at any range further than 10 meters, I have always tapped my M4 and I always will, spraying in this game wont work because of one simple fact: Most engagements are medium to long range and your mouse sensitivity should be fairly low to be able to accurately shoot from longer distances, if someone rushes me I get a shotgun or an mp5 out I don't spray my M4 because it takes way too many body shots to kill someone and most likely the recoil will win when you have a lower sensitivity, ofcourse you can have a mouse macro to change your dpi on the fly which I have done in the past but I prefer to not engage in close range combat and I keep distance at all times for tactical purposes and well who wants to go melee when you have an M4, you obviously choose to go for longer range. I've seen hackers spray me down from medium range with M4's with the no-recoil hack and this sure looks like one of those cases, if you pay attention to his holographic reticle it hardly ever jumps to the left or right it stays very calm and still. / SxG Leth
Got busted, get over it Grimmy. To a new player's eyes it might seem you "control" your aim, I mean I control my aim, but not even I am capable of keeping my red dot sight at the same pixel for a continuous spray. I imagine that you toggle, as that is how it seems. Better luck on your next game, maybe put the cheats on the shelf and practice some more!
Don't use it, man.
Grimmybear this video is to obvious, the video you posted to try and defend yourself means nothing, it was just you trying to get a hit on him with the shitty hit boxes in this game @ the window bars. you're not good either in cs even with your 2k hours, you only been in open your whole life. http://www.legit-proof.com/search/?method=guid&query=STEAM_0%3A0%3A15020956 Just start a fresh identity and never let us find out its you. you trying to defend yourself like this puts even a bigger burden over yourself & your reputation. sooner or later vac ban will catch up and you'll be speechless.

I never read the forums, but I always read the weekly dev blog. The only reason I read this one is because I wanted to find out why his twitch is down. Why do I stay out of the forums? Because I feel like they are filled with shit like this. His choice to fight against a false claim looks way better than if he had just sat around waiting to get/not get his stream back. He's in the thread trying to find out how to make people believe him and everyone already has their mind made up. The worst part is that those who decided they think he's hacking are basing it off of a 5 second clip. Nay! Never mind, the worst part is that this is probably just a publicity stunt by Trausi to have a popular thread. What's something that the rust community really gets fired up about...? Haxorz!
Well I know that are existent no recoil macros when pushing your mouse one button your screen drags down which is not Vac bannable but in the current situation I don't believe he is using one or a no recoil hack. You can plainly see that there is recoil but I know that a low sensitivity like that is freaking crazy if you can control recoil like that. From looking at actual videos from hackers in first person I know that his "no recoil" does not represent how a hacker no recoils. If it's a new hack that could "lessen" the burden of recoil, I would be thoroughly impressed.

Horizontal recoil is too rng to predict when you're randomly peeking from a Window 3-4 stories high taking extended pot bursts. This guy is toggling or he his wasting his inhuman reflexes on a video game.
