Also, we have proof beyond a reasonable doubt. Watch the video.
There isn't any proof that someone's hacking or cheating in any way. It's someone who chose a clip out of how many the person had on their twitch profile and put it together for people to judge someone unfairly. I've played many games that are FPS and non-FPS where people hacked or cheated. It's very easy to recognize if you know what to look for.
this thread is STILL around? man the rust community is garbage why are people so incredibly caustic over this?
snip.
Basically just no to everything you say. I was being sardonic towards Grimmy because the thing he posted was dumb, a 3 point sample. My average is around 230 for your consideration, after 30attempts. I did this after 8 and then around 25 attempts though. It's not hard, you just gotta preemptive it a bit. If instead I kept refreshing til I got a sub 80ms goal, I could then tryhard two times and get around 200ms responses, the average would be like 130. That's bsing the system :c

They're all like that. At some point, the material is out there, and it's not just a trend any more. It's the fact of how he plays. So from there, you have to ask whether that's possibly legitimate, and I really, really doubt it. And yeah, I have played a lot of FPS games too. Doesn't matter. Anyway, I've said it before in this thread -- I don't think he's hacking. I think he's using AHK or something like it. Those are tools any of us could get. It's cheating you can't get VAC'd for.
this thread is STILL around? man the rust community is garbage why are people so incredibly caustic over this?
I will quote my own post on why people are so incredibly caustic over this:
2. Why do we care so much? Very easy answer, Rust is being ruined by hackers which has established a disgust of any cheater in the Rust community. A cheater in Rust that streams while cheating, denies it and has his fanbase believing him in addition to him getting paid for doing it leaves a very very bad taste in anyone's mouth that's passionate about Rust or gaming in general. TLDR: Rust community is FED UP with hackers and the fact that he earns money with it is more than disgusting.
Apart from that, to the big big big majority of experienced Rust players there is simply NO doubt whatsoever that the video is proof enough to say that he cheated. So what makes it even worse? GrimmyBear isn't VAC banned because he probably used a tool/plugin/macro that's undetectable by VAC and he's still out there playing on popular Rust servers. That gets people pretty pissed off and can definitely be a reason why people are still here trying to convince people he definitely did cheat in that video.

Get over it.
Not sure if troll ._.
Not sure if meme? Really? Get the fuck out.

I use a zowie EC2 evo black mouse, it doesn't even have drivers let alone some program that helps me play games. Scripts and injected dll's are detectable via processes and programs running (I showed everything running while showing a better spray than the video) The only minority are these "experienced" rust players who think I cheat (almost exclusively the mods and some viewers from bchillzz stream) Firstly, experienced rust players (lol). Secondly, I already demonstrated I am capable of reproducing anything you called cheats. I can make a video showing the second spray as well if needed, I have recorded up to a 15 round spray with good recoil control. Also that "11 round burst" is really a 4 round burst into a side strafe with a 7 round burst, so it's clear people aren't even watching this video closely. Twitch takes for-fucking-ever to respond to this case but last I heard there are multiple admins reviewing it. This thread is hardly even about the question of hacking or not now.. I just couldn't help but post though because of the mass ignorance.

And in my eyes you're still a blatant no recoiler according to the video I saw and nothing will change that. And I've come to realize this argument will never end in a simple answer, most people have, which I guess is why the thread is not really about whether you were hacking or not.

At this point you are just being a stubborn child not admitting it could even happen. Its OK to be wrong. It really is.

The scientist is willing to hear any and all evidence, and to consider them all in the search of truth. The religious man refuses to bend or admit the possibility of fault in his stance because he refuses to admit it may be wrong.
I personally don't see any hacking going on lol. The people that are saying that Grimmy is hacking are obviously bad at the game.
He's not hacking and its very obvious. Just a bunch of people who aren't good claiming hacks, what's new?
"And in my eyes you're still a blatant no recoiler according to the video I saw and nothing will change that." Go look up Confirmation Bias and revel in your ignorance elsewhere.
Has NOTHING whatsoever to do with Confirmation Bias. It has to do with me believing my own eyes that see obvious hacks. Someone posted the video to me asking if I thought it was hacking and I was 100% sure it was and I still am, simple as that. [editline]30th July 2014[/editline] For the record I'd go as far as to say I can 1v1 anyone with any weapon in this game any second now, drop me a steam add (Falxhor) if you feel up for the challenge. I'll prove that I'm not saying that he's hacking because I'm not good/jealous/whateverthefuck if you want me to.

This is, at best, childish. Right now, yes or no, to two questions: 1) Did you watch the video of him reproducing the first part of it and showing he had no altered DLL, hack, or running process in the background? Simple yes or no. You have avoided every single time this has been brought up. At least acknowledge the video exists. 2) Did you watch the video of the poster that had the same thing happen, where randomly he had no horizontal random recoil? Again, you have avoided this each time it has been brought up. Right now be a man instead of continuing with this childish BS.

You then said that "Nothing will change [your opinion]." Never mind though, I guess its over your head. If actually think that you are 100% sure that GrimmyBear is hacking then your reputation should be tossed out the window. Simple as that. The ONLY person who can be 100% sure that he wasn't hacking is GrimmyBear himself. Are you claiming to be Grimmybear Falxhor? This thread was started on speculation, made by bchillz, that was taken by one of his mods and made a short clip thereof. I hope you find someone to play with. Not sure why anyone would care if you can beat them in 1v1. your opinion is still shit, even if your good with any gun from a game that's in alpha. Might I also add that Rust, as it is now, will NEVER be out of alpha. The game was rebuilt. They probably only did that because all the mechanics of the game were too perfect and never faulting.
how is this not locked yet?
how is this not locked yet?
This is one of those jokes where it starts off funny, stops being funny, and then eventually becomes funny again before becoming not funny yet again. One of those vicious cycles that ultimately keeps so many of us entertained. ;)

I'm not saying I WANT to 1v1 people, I'm saying I'd do it to show people my opinions don't originate from jealousy/being bad because I'm done having that said to me. "Not sure why anyone would care if you can beat them in 1v1" well I'm not sure either but they're calling me out on it anyway and I'm getting tired of it. For the people using that argument, add me, fight me, get it over with. 1) I acknowledge the video exist. This doesn't prove anything to me. I'm judging the video from Grimmy's banned twitch account and that video only, it's the only relevant proof here. I haven't avoided this, I have ignored it because it's irrelevant. 2) I don't remember this, sorry. I'm aware horizontal recoil is random and may at times seem non-existing in a recording, yet this is a very small percentage of the time and can't happen in multiple long sprays. I don't get why people keep going off-topic bringing in irrelevant data. The video is relevant. The video is the proof that got this started. I do NOT see the recoil that should be there. I've seen recoil on my own screen (familiar with rust recoil for over 800 hours), on streams of people that play rust (familiar with rust recoil for over 2000 hours) and on videos of professional FPS players like Grimmy (usually over 1000 hours while Grimmy at the time had between 100-200 hours) and Grimmy's highlight shows no similarity with any of the previous things I mentioned, whatsoever. Someone may disagree with this because he sees something different than me, so be it, I trust my eyes and I'll put whatever reputation I might have on the line for that because I'm certain. There's a lot of people saying Grimmy is simply better at controlling recoil than all those other people that do have clear recoil in their videos but I do not believe this to the slightest. Even if Grimmy is the best of the best of the best out there. He can't be better to an extent that the way he shoots has no similarities whatsoever with the way other pros shoot in regards to controlling recoil. That's basically saying he's supernatural.

And since that is what the second video did your reply to that issue is moot. See, there is this little thing called due process. It basically means you cant decide to hang the accused before all evidence is considered. Deciding beforehand just makes that jury member a moron, and useless to the case as a whole.

If the accuser had been familiar with the accused then the argument would hold enough weight to maybe need an outsider to help support his case. But it doesn't need that, and yet it's still occurring. Short of having the accuser side by side with Grimmybear while he replicates similar occurrence with the accuser verifying that no hacks are used, what exactly are you looking for here? Even if all that happened, someone could still say, oh he obviously payed off the accuser, or something dumb like that. Also because that scenario would be obnoxious and a complete waste of time. There is nothing that an accused person can do to 100% prove a negative, because that's impossible. His "failure attempt of making a reproduction" video is relevant... by definition! Relevant: closely connected or appropriate to the matter at hand. Just Google "Define: Relevant". It's Grimmybear, it's Rust, its him controlling recoil, it's him trying to prove innocence over THIS VERY THREAD, it's relevant. Why the sudden desire not to "waste my time telling you all the things that are different" in his video? You haven't had a problem with wasting people's time in this thread yet.
