You can rename anything in the texture files and place objects through it and not see it. No doubt you can change metal_wall to metal_wal1 for the exact same effect with metal bases.
This needs to be fixed asap. I love to build up against rocks and seems that people can place sleeping bags in rocks and just run right into your base. Been happening frequently also. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prUfzyoj_1c
@UP, I had full metal base, about 8 stories high, we had chests full of everything basicly, loads of them i can say, one time we saw sleeping bags all over our base leading to loot room, everything was gone, and it was about 2 months ago, from this time, i have stopped playing rust till they fix it.

The game is alpha and exploits will be fixed with each patch, its not a released game where they will stop what they are doing and fix any exploits right away. Hopefully the main exploits ruining the game are fixed next patch. The main exploits fixed + new content will be a great incentive to start playing again.

Well if you read the very short description you would of read that some things aren't going to work. Its in early development, it is nowhere near finished. Fixing endgame bugs isn't a huge priority when the game is 20% complete.

If they'd forced you to buy the game then that would be a different story. As it stands, early access games have no obligation to push updates or anything, that's just the way it is. I don't think Facepunch will leave us hanging, it's just going to take time. If you didn't want an unfinished game then you should avoid early access titles.
if facepunch did leave us hanging, most on this forum would bend over and ask facepunch to do it again. your wrong about obligations, the moment the game was released to paying customers facepunch owes them the obligation for atleast a exploit free alpha/beta. people expect bugs/instability/crashes but people shouldn't have to put up with exploits too. exploits should be sorted asap before more nnew exploits are found which lead to more hackers which leads to even more work
This is absolutely not true, please show me the contract or terms that say Facepunch is obligated to do anything. They're only obligated to do anything because it would be a shitstorm for them if they didn't. I don't think they would abandon the game either way, but they are under no legal burden to do anything.
This is absolutely not true, please show me the contract or terms that say Facepunch is obligated to do anything.
ANYTHING YOU SAY...... Sale of goods act....... but what has that got to do with any of this, no one has mentioned anything about "legal burdens" to be fair, early access and the sale of goods act actually clash and its a gray area at the moment in the UK.

Granted, I don't know much about the laws or who would be responsible in the first place (Valve for selling it or Facepunch for developing it). That may change over time, I know the sale of goods act is trying to figure out a way to get early access games under its umbrella since, as you said, it is in a grey area in the UK. But for now, there's nothing wrong with the game as it is. Everyone got the same disclaimer before buying it and everyone should have been aware of what they were getting themselves into. Again, I don't think that Facepunch is just going to forget about the game and leave it as-is. There's a lot of development left; multiple years worth, most likely. In the grand scheme of things these exploits are very low priority compared to getting the game to a "scope-complete" level.

Any company is obliged to comply to the laws in the countries in which they trade. The transactions are made in GBP and VAT (Value Added Tax/Sales tax) is paid to the British Government thus they are trading in the UK. HOWEVER Valve is the company that are making the transactions and thus the only company held accountable for the legitimacy of the final product. Again this is second hand knowledge from what I assume is a knowledgeable source (a solicitor)
