• Stay away from HFB Server Hosting

Look im mainly on HFB's side of the story here. It would work zero since to DDoS YOUR OWN SERVERS.... Its alpha! Chill out! HFB is do the best it can! You also have to realize that they have OTHER customers to worry about! So if they dont get back to you right away as you please. Then your just being a brat. Ive worked in industry for hosting game servers and what not. Its not fun nor easy. I would like to note that If the server is down for like 2 days. The Server provider should give you 2 days extra because of the DDoS attack. Thats all i have to say. ~Tony
hfbservers has disgusting customer support, we had a dedicated box that we were paying a fair amount of money for and when we got hit by an attack and we were null routed for 24 hours and didn't receive a response from support for about 50+ hours. Unacceptable considering it took us 1 day to get our server online again 2+ days to get an answer from support we were then told it was our fault for the attack and that they were not responsible for assisting people whom were being targetted. So by that logic if we got hit once per day and got null routed as soon as our server would be back up even though it wasn't being attacked afterwards we would still have to pay a couple hundred bucks a month. Alpha has a lot to do with game stability, however it has zero to do with server stability. To suggest that an alpha build of a game is effecting server stability is simply ignorance. 3. So because I complain about not hearing anything from support within 12 hours makes me a brat? excuse me while I laugh... Okay I'm good. If I run a service that depends on reliability and customer satisfaction I will try my utmost to ensure I handle issues asap. I understand that at times things will get busier than usual, and I am okay with that. However, if you read the other posts then it seems to be a trend with them. If they are that swamped it means one of two things: The servers are not up to snuff and need work, or they need to hire more people due to an influx of business. 3. I have and still do work in the industry as well. That is why I can claim total BS on what they are trying to feed me. It's not a game, it's business. If they can't handle the business they built for themselves then maybe they need to rethink what they are doing... I agree that there should be some type of compensation for lost time with servers. I don't know what to say the best way to compensate customers but it does need to be there at some level. I think the thing that really made me mad about my set of issues is that I was told they did not issue refunds at all. After I quoted the ToS and pointed out that they could I got completely ignored. That is just bad business...

I once ran my own web hosting company on my own with more than 150 customers and at least I can reply all tickets on my working hour. ( max 3-4 hours ). Come on, at least reply and state server condition, push maintenance shit emails to all clients. It's not like 56k dialup shitty shit plus no automated system, it's 2014. If you really worked with this kind of stuff before, why don't you mention or even know about this automated system/scripting/shitting ? they are putting too many vps on each "dedicated" hosts which causes the unresponsive game panel lags. oh btw did i mention the sql fails already? dont think so. if you sell a product then at least make sure its working correctly (not talking about the heavy ddos everyone encountered when the game was released on steam). what would you do if you buy a car and you are only able to drive it by night or for like 2 hours a day! you wouldnt be surprised either and its obviously that you start to moan/rage, however you wanna call it. they offer 24/7 support! this doesnt mean you get a reply after 3 days, but its normal at HFB! hire some 16+ school kids in hardkicking times to help you out sorting emails, forwarding emails in terms of emergency/priority in the end you will lose valuable customers! and i dont think that they can afford losing even ONE single customer on this market nowadays google is catching this thread sooner or later (probably already) and this is such a bad reputation

They are just a terrible provider with terrible and nearly non-existent customer support. It even says on their website they're hiring for unpaid customer support reps. You could probably apply and give yourself customer support before they get around to it.

Cancelled this "Service" with HFB yesterday and I cannot be happier using playrust.EU SO much faster and so much more response on the support and finally I can actually use my FTP software rather than going by the slow website style!

I will be happy when we can host our own servers without the need for a third party.
The support is terrible at this company. I think this would be called "best of the worst" for US choices, at least the public choices available. I wish they'd open the hosting up to more providers, it seems like they just picked the first few who volunteered. One of them is not even a registered company as far as I can tell. Wanted to throw in that my server with them just got knocked offline, no ping. Last time this happened they responded hours after it came back with a generic "It must have been a DDoS". /sigh

HFB Use TCAdmin as there Game server control Panel. FTP Can be accessed using your Game Server Panel Login with the same Password
It's always comical to see the butt-hurt alleged ex-customers of HFB flock to any thread with HFB in the title or mentioned in a post. I have had the service I expected for the money I pay, support sometimes is a few minutes or a few hours away (mostly in a few minutes). I have access to upload new Oxide Plugins from the cPanel or FTP. I guess this is what happens when children (and those that act like them) purchase Hosting....

What I find even funnier is that people like yourself feel the need to flock here as well and instead of using actual valid information to state a point you simply degrade to school yard antics. I would be completely fine with waiting minutes, or even a couple of hours on a support ticket from a hosting company. However, when every ticket I submit takes 8+ hours to get answered there is something wrong. If you knew how the IT field worked you could understand that every minute there are issues with anything connection related it's money lost. This is why it's important to have a quick turnaround on submitted issues.
I use HFBServers have had no issues the control panel is abit slow but game play is between 20-80ms depending on players and spam.. it is a London based server [UK] RustyNutz : if anyone wants to check it out I'm currently modding it so it's up and down testing bit's

I was just commenting on the link Reddit link you posted which alleges HFB is DDOSing their own customers for a cash grab. At any rate and regardless of any DDOS theories, HFB is terrible. End of story.
