Servus Dark Joker, ich hätte ein paar fragen zu eurem Server. Wir sind eine Gruppe von ca 12 Leuten und suchen einen neuen Server mit aktiven Admins. Zurzeit spielen wir auf einem der dein Sever Host DE Servern. Das Problem an diesem Server ist das man keinen Ansprechpartner hat. Wir haben eine Gruppe von Spielern auf unserem Server die anderen mit allen Mitteln versucht den Spielspaß zu nehmen, indem sie zb Hütten einfach mit Dächern zubauen und somit unbrauchbar machen. Ausgeraubt werden gehört klar zum Spiel aber Leuten Tage und Wochen lange Arbeit zu zerstören nimmt die Motivation am Spiel. Häuserbau ist dadurch Sinnlos und das macht natürlich die Hälfte vom Spiel aus. Nun die Frage wie das auf eurem Server gehandhabt wird? Werden solche Leute dafür bestraft oder ist einfach alles erlaubt? mfg

Eine Regel gegen Griefing haben wir nicht, denn das gehört leider nunmal auch zum Spiel. Ist zwar blöd aber man sollte erst mit dem Bau anfangen, wenn man es auch in kürzester Zeit hinbekommt. Außerdem kann man gegen Griefing rein garnichts unternehmen, wenn man die Griefer nicht kennt. Ich kann soweit nur sagen, dass ich bis jetzt im Chat noch keine Beschwerde gelesen habe, dass jemandem das Haus zugebaut wurde oder sonstiges in der Richtung.

Ja, gehört wohl leider zum Spiel. Bei uns auf dem Server war es eben so, das eine Gruppe über Nacht die Häuser auf dem ganzen Server unbrauchbar gemacht haben. ZB bei uns ein 15 stöckiges Haus mit 5x8 Fundamenten, einfach nur alle treppenhäuser gesprengt und decken rein gezocken, ohne zu versuchen an den loot zu kommen, es ging nur ums unbrauchbar machen... nun ist der Server der voll war fast leer weil keiner mehr Bock hat. Jeder weiss wenn man wieder baut, wirds wieder passieren wenn man offline ist.. Bin gespannt wenn ihr mal so Leute auf dem Server habt, ob ihr dann nicht doch eine Regel einführt und diese Leute bannt. mfg

Außerdem, wenn die den Loot nicht nehmen klingt das meiner Meinung nach stark nach Admin abuse. Andererseits wäre es doch Verschwendung, wenn die ihr C4 dann nichtmal mit dem Loot der Häuser ausgleichen.

[/QUOTE] lol, what is with that russians and rust? my friend and i just came to your server because of that stupid germans vs russians "war" on another server - de#1 or what was the name.. we played there few days, we build great hidden house, and after server wipe we started to build again, on little different place, and then "they" arived - group of about 10 little pricks and entered our house thinking we are russians.. it was big disappointment, as for our spent hours to collect and build, and more important as just for gameplay itself.. 10 pricks running together all over the map.. so funny to see them and the funnies thing- they attack 2 guys in a one floor house and they think they strong.. it was just too ridiculous, and doesn't make any sense.. playing when there are too many kids around, playing all together, killing the fun.. the best part was that they go in a one lonely hangar altogether.. hangar which have 2 crates of loot.. i mean.. wtf.. so stupid and so funny.. in short..: [QUOTE]Wir sind eine Gruppe von ca 12 Leuten[/QUOTE] i really hope that you are not that group.. so after that raid we changed server, come here, and find it very nice and enjoyable so far.. we helped like 4 guys, many guys were friendly, few tried to be stupid and sneaky with melee but payed price, we get killed few times, had revenge, started with our house, going nice :) so we just hope there is no server reset :/

Das ist mir völlig klar das man die Leute nur bannen kann wenn man die Namen kennt. Meine Frage war auch, ob ihr bannen würdet wenn eine Gruppe diesen unfug macht und man weiss wer es ist, genau das ist das Problem auf dem jetzigen Server. Jeder weiss wer dafür verantwortlich ist, nur gibt es keine Admins..

i just mentioned that group because of Bammo's question few post back, and when i saw he speaks of group of 12 ppl i got insta flashbacks :) to be clear - i'm not accusing any players, russians or not, to be responsible for this server attacks, but you must admit - it's big coincidence for this to happen.. and today.. when that big german group i presume "cleaned" that server full of russians.. it smells like their revenge :) once again.. not accusing, just trolling little bit :) anyhow.. we must wait for server to get back on, because we don't know for sure if our front doors are all closed, because at the time when server start to lag hard, minute or two before it crashed or get stopped we were just lurking in and out of house, and we couldn' close doors anymore so they could be open.. so we don't have choice but to wait :/

Yeah the kids attack it again, but they have now the location of the network that attacks us. So just wait, sit and drink coffee. The guy that makes this will get his punishment. I inform you guys when all its done.

[QUOTE]So just wait, sit and drink coffee.[/QUOTE] hh well.. that's exactly what i'm doing now :) even though is 2am := i wanted to spend my saturday playing rust but that wasn't the case :( i just wonder how "easy" is to make those kind of attacks.. and find it little strange that hosting companies don't have adequate protection.. funny though.. like week or so, maybe little more, there was same kind of attacks on hosting server where i have my rfactor server.. they were fighting all day.. but fortunately successful :) well.. i manage to gather some wood, some basic stuff from zombies, and went back home to unload, and timing was perfect.. as i put all things in boxes, server went down like 10 seconds later :) hope it get's back soon.. and than some nice slow farming, with less ppl, less threat, just enjoying sunrise and shoot some arrows :)

Server back online. They have the Networkdata from this guy and take care of him.

i was sarcastic there.. don't know that much about network attacks (although i'm actually network manager := but i do understand basics, and know it's kinda easy to perform that kind of attacks.. like you said - download programs and click button.. said that as joke, because you said that they "found the guy" but apparently he know how to mask himself, or have more than one connection, or there are more than one guy.. because if ppl at hosting company have some network data, that would be proceeded to his isp and they would shutdown his connection altogether.. at least that's how i understand.. but little prick is persistent and obv know how to bypass some basic staff.. We had a population of 100-120 active players until the DDoS started. We had to change the IP like JoKiiE already mentioned. Unfortunately most of these players are not that active to get informed about the new IP. But still we hope that we can reach our old pupulation again. Help us to inform everyone you know who played on this server!
