Just from the mentions to FPS in this thread I think they are shredding money to throw into the furnace that will power the new servers.
And to be honest HFB is probably overwhelmed right now.
I'm giving them some slack since a lot of people are leaving and giving them crap.
Still a good host till 1 incident messed them up.
I "installed" Dust++ on HFB, ... guess what.. It isn't installed.
Yes that is true, but if you are the only user on whatever instance/VM on the physical server then the exploit doesn't really matter because they can still only affect their little piece of the server, and then they lock down the user that is running the modded program even further so they can't do much of anything anyways.
I feel that this would be much easier to implement in Linux, I always forget that the Rust servers are running Windows.
It's pretty easy with Hyper-V on Windows Server, but AFAIK you have to pay licensing fees for every instance, so it gets costly.
EDIT: but even if you just want to run multiple users on one instance, Windows does have a user permission system where you can give each user access to only one folder and set read/write/execute permissions, just like Linux, but it is harder to automate. I think Windows Server has some tools for that though.
I've been thinking very hard about quitting HFBServers and this is the last straw.

I'm a very experienced software developer by trade and I know how difficult software development can be. I also know the red flags that come from grossly incompetent devs and management.
I'm done with HFBServers. They need to start acting like adults and hire competent developers and program managers, be more communicative with their customers, and stop rolling out completely atrocious front- and back-end software that's at the core of their business.
Utterly ridiculous, 110% completely disastified.

I wrote my long constructive reply. Received no answer for 28+ hours.
Then I said screw it, I canceled. They just closed a ticket lol.
Professional company would be like "sorry for your bad experience, hope you will come back bla bla bla"
i've had nothing but prompt customer service from them, besides having to wait for them to sort this mod thing out they have been quick with responding to my questions
