So which is it, 15 minutes or they worked on the AI as well?
Honestly this doesnt even make sense with what i said. i literally explained that it probably took 15 minutes to reskin the animals.. that doesnt include anything else in the patch.

I love how your edit negates the first comment you placed...people in this forum oh my god..
It is possible that stones will be used to make other things like stone building materials and therefore it will be needed in greater abundance in the near future as these new crafting items are introduced.
FFS...think things through...
You are correct, but atm it makes arrows, stone hatchet, and the furnace. i get putting it in early, but no need to be rude, as atm its completely useless to add in more stone, as its just depriving us from other resources(perfectly reasonable if they did it for that reason though). whats the point of 3000 stone when i cant use it? until they add things like stone houses or slingshots to use the stone(anything stone realted really) they probably should of kept it out.
"spend time replacing them" - it probably took them all of 15 minutes to put red on the skins.. its not like they remodeled all the animals, its a simple recolour..
and lucash, the AI is actually smarter.. if you actually read the notes you would realize that... They also explain why they removed the zombies.. they explained that they know we hate the new placeholder.. seriously wtf did you even read in the patchnotes..
edit :
Its your game eh? so your gaining the income, you hold the rights to it, you spend your time creating new features? no? than its not your fucking game.. you own a copy, nothing more.
your right though, your allowed to have an opinion on the game, but thats all it is. they make all the final choices..
Haha, that's funny. We don't even own most of our own games anymore. Especially multiplayer games.

I thought I'm alone. Don't know what to do with 5000 stones.

You are correct. not only do we not own them, but a large portion of games have the right to deny you access(via banning or w/e they feel the need to do) to the game for any reason they want(due to TOS agreements n such).

Why? if you honestly think im wrong you must not play the same game.

My point is that you are agreeing with my analysis and then disagree...it doesn't make sense. However, if you need another plausible reason for adding the new stone-rich resource, maybe it was added now because they re-did all the other resources this time around so it made sense to do it along with them.

Im well aware i agreed and disagreed, i agree that adding stone nodes is good. but adding them right now i disagree with, its just giving us more useless resources and less useful . is that so hard to comprehend?
I thought I'm alone. Don't know what to do with 5000 stones.
Rust to the cost and play skip-a-rock, or throw them at the nakes if your server has that stupid backpack lock enabled :P
also isn't stone still the most useless loot in the game? it makes like 2 things, one of them being the first hatchet...
Once we can make buildings from stone, you'll appreciate the stone-only nodes, I'm sure.

Again, to repeat, for the sake of re-emphasis, if they were replacing all the old resources with new updated models that have additional functionality it probably makes good sense from a workflow standpoint to go ahead and complete work on the new stone-rich one at the same time.
Maybe they don't do much for the game at this very moment because they are not in demand, but the work is completed, can be tested now, and checked of the very lengthy developer to-do list. How is this so hard to comprehend and how in any way is it an impediment to the game play?

...EXACTLY
I hate to use the "it's alpha" line, but seriously, why do you care so much about there being more stone and no use for it yet?
This isn't release, this was not a balance patch. The extra stone wasn't added because it was needed to fix a game balance issue.
Either things are patched in as they're done in whatever order they are ready to go live, or the devs hold back on testing new developments.
I know what I think makes more sense in alpha.
I know the guys at Rust were not happy to be labeled as a zombie survivor and was aiming to a diferent thing... but seriously? Red-striped wildlife that drops backpacks with ammo?

What are your thoughts on this one?
Your ability to read patch notes is amazing.

its not hard to put it aside to release with a later patch when it can be useful though.. it functions the same as the other nodes, just different skinning on it, so testing it shouldn't be an issue as we can test the others.
But whatever, this is a silly arguement. ive made it clear i dont support the addition of them at this current time, but ill welcome it once we are given more stone uses. youve made it clear that you dont care that its in. now its just useless bickering lol

Which makes more sense:
1: Implement a bunch of items that require a lot of stones such as buildings, walls, ect. -BUT- not have a good source of resourcing stones that is implemented later on and buggy.
=OR=
2: Implement stone nodes so that players can test them out and store up stones, then release the items that require a lot of stone in a few weeks/months?
We all have to remember, we paid to test this game out.
its not hard to put it aside to release with a later patch when it can be useful though..
But... why? Just to stem the tide of people who probably shouldn't have bought an alpha game from complaining that their alpha game appears to be in alpha?
these , dev's must be smoking the wrong shit to remove zombies, not to mention they don't have to listen to complaints about zombies, just because people don't have enough skill to kill zombies. I want my money back!

You're assuming there is no value to the developer in pushing this through now simply because the resource in-game doesn't have an obvious value to the player at this moment. It's not that hard to imagine why this assumption is wrong. I and others have given you a dozen examples why it is very likely a bad assumption to make, yet you persist. There is no hope for you.

that is literally not even close to kinda in the ballpark of the wheelhouse of the reason they took out zombies.
Great contribution to the thread. It's not their game, it's our game, it became OUR game when they decided to have it be crowd funded rather than release it when it was complete. As a result, we are allowed to have an opinion on it's development.

It isn't your game. At worst you paid for a game you do not like, at best you get to see the game develop into something better.
Unless you are in the active development process it is not your game, you own an early access copy that entitles you to the full release. That is all.

Sure isnt. ill stick by my opinion that it shouldnt of been added.
edit: Its amusing your trying to push this arguement further btw, when i clearly stated you wont concivnce me other wise and we should drop it. kids these days..

You thought about that post huh?
Well if you did then your thought wasn't educated first.
None of us "Own" this game otherwise we could do whatever the hell we wanted in the game without worry of getting VAC banned and have the game taken away.
You purchased a licensed copy of an early access Alpha game with a legal agreement stating what you can and can't do with that licensed copy.
Knowing what you're talking about is just as important as thinking about what you're you're going to say.
You own Nothing.
As for this update, I just woke up and walking to work right now here in Australia. I seemed to have woken up to a bit of a sh*t storm.
I will have to try this first before passing judgement on the update.
