oh fuck you're right :v: "I bought rust, but I can't play. SCAMMERS" The G210 gets a mind-numbing 180 points on the G3D Mark benchmark. A Radeon R9 270x (a $200 video card today) gets 4515. Onii, thank you so much. You reminded me of this glorious post by OP: Red highlights mine, all other formatting in that quote is the OPs. Two screenshots with two completely different settings levels, and the "only" difference is the glitchy sky and textures. Never mind that the quality screenshot has shadows turned on, proper lighting, etc. :v: Yeah, the problem is still with you, muyayo, not Rust. A whole year later, and you still haven't learned.
curiously after they fixed the sky on legacy I got 60-70FPS, and I've been playing for months. is this cause of my PC?
I upgraded my rig a few months back and enjoy fantastic performance. It's difficult sometimes to just recognize that the accountability to fix FPS sometimes falls on the user and not the Dev team to accommodate lower horsepower PCs/Laptops. I have a laptop that used to be sufficient when running RUST legacy. Now, it's not even an option, but I'm ok with that. Disabling grass would be horrible for new RUST. I'm getting murdered left and right with bear traps that I can't see in the grass...and I have laugh to myself every time (off topic: seriously those Bear Traps are OP).
OP, grass is rendered from one drawcall thanks to Andre's wonderful custom grass shader. It absolutely isn't what's causing your FPS drops.

The G210 is 20% as powerful as the old GeForce 9600 GT I used to use and still have. His computer is old enough to tie its own shoes and write its own name if it were human, and it wasn't high-end to begin with. He insists that performance problems at the potato tier are somehow a concern for the devs while he runs on below-minimum settings.
32gb ram with i7-3770k and a gtx780ti. Kinda upset I had to turn resolution down from 4k to 1440p to get 60fps :-/

I can say that performance is better for me than it was on legacy. Had to turn down everything to be able to play legacy at a good fps. Now if i turn shit down i got 80-100 fps while running a server. In legacy if i had game + server running, and i started chrome my whole system crashed. Now i can just lock server and client fps to 30 and run chrome with 10+ tabs.
Thats incorrect, it is possible to disable grass, this video of BCHILLZ proofs it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrYIA9GdwPE (User was banned for this post ("Please don't bump old threads" - OvB))
